    West Ham United
    UEFA Intertoto Cup: 1999

**** me.....even if Jesus was managing England, we would struggle with these overhyped, overpaid prima donna's.

Is Capello using this issue with the FA to work his ticket out of the job before the Euros which even he cannot think England stand a chance of winning!

I don't really give a toss about England. Capello has been unable to enliven England (despite doing better than McClaren) so no real loss. Redknapp won't get it unless he escapes a stay at Her Majesty's Pleasure.

Perhaps the FA would like to approach Alan Pardue (in a nod to their usual kneejerk "who's doing well this year" mentality) or Chris Hughton (who created silk purses from Sow's Ears at Newcastle before the fat moneygrabber kicked him out...)

His comments about Terry worried me as it suggested that not only does he want Terry to be his captain...but he wants to take him to the finals. He is absolute garbage now, how can a player who has lost all respect from his team mates lead them out in the major tournament?

I gave up on England in both Rugby and Football. I took a lot of pleasure watching the Welsh yesterday and this summer I will enjoy watching Ireland play with heart and soul in the Euros. <ok>

The FA painted themselves into a corner by saying they will hire an English manager, without realising that there's a reason there's so few of them in the Premier League - they tend to be tactically inept. As a result, their choices are 'Arry, Pardew or Hodgson (by the way, Chris Hughton is Irish)

TBH I think the FA have done bad here. They should have discussed it with him.

Think of it like this. How would you feel if John Henry had sold Suarez with out Kenny's say so?

I cant stand Fabio Capello, but this just ads to the FA's long list of errors for me. (not agreeing it with Capello that is).

So is Mick McCarthy, but they were both born over here (Hughton in London, McCarthy in Barnsley).

So while representing Eire, they are English

The FA did what Capello wouldn't/couldn't do; demote Terry. Yes, there's all this 'innocent until proven guilty' thing, but the FA have to consider IF Terry is convicted. In that case, we might have the situation of an England captain lifting a Euro trophy only to be convicted of racial abuse weeks later. Yeah...not good. Stip him of the captaincy (too little too late though) is the safe option. This isn't even considering what it does to the dressing room; whilst there's doubts, can Terry really bring the England camp together as a team? How can players follow a man who's got such a court case hanging over him?

Capello is an idiot and he'll leave or be asked to shut up on this matter.

england would nover have taken the decision if capello had not put terry back in after his last scandal.

to be frank mr ferdinand if picked should have been capatin and i think ferdinand has little time for mr capello at all.... now capello is making big noises.

    Well the only things that should be said are;

    1. terry should have resigned the captaincy anyway

    2. this should have been dealt with months ago

    3. the crown court are being dodgy holding this off til july.

    4. the fa want to sweep this under the carpet by taking the captaincy now and hope they don't ahve to ban him for 4 matches at the start of next year.

    5. capello should merely shut the F up and not agitate. he'll ruin team morale further.

as for who will come in? none of them will do any beter or worse will they?

The most English person to win 53 Ireland caps (except for Andy Townsend, of course...)

Fair play to Capello. Believe it or not this country runs a system of not guilty untill proven innocent.

The FA, in a way similar to the Suarez case, are making a precedant themselves.

FA is too worried about their image than the actual football. **** them.

I know what I am saying some people will hate. However I speak out without any bias.

What does Racism have to do with football anyway?

Luis Suarez, like it or not he was proven guilty in a similar case....

What are Uruguay doing about this? NOTHING (and rightly so)/

What we require in football is that our player has the right mindset on the pitch. We do not require him to be a lovely person! John Terry maybe a racist Ass, but he is obviously judged by Capello to have the correct mindset on the pitch. And although some may disagree with that, it is for our manager to decide!

The FA should butt out and stop creating more of an issue here. They are turning our country in to a laughing stock.

    Capello's Job

In addition to this; they seem to be giving out job threats to Capello. The seem to hint he is in trouble over complaining that they made a decision on behalf of the team without consulting him. The man is completely in the right here; and the fact that his job is at risk really makes me sick to my stomach!

    Capello's ability

Like it or not; the man has qualified us in two major tournaments and has lifted our country so it rates in the top 5 in world football. He has also dropped some of the dross from the said "golden generation" and has played new young talent. He has also been successful doing so!

In terms of the world cup.... We did not play great...

However he got pretty far in the tournement, and the only game which really let us down was the game against Germany.... This was in my eyes the ONLY time the manager has let us down. And saying that.... I feel we lost that game due to a bad goal-line decision in the first half..

I seem to be the only person in England who truly backs Capello. I have no idea why the press give him such a hard time, likewise the fans.

    now now... lets be fair..

ferguson's just lost the moral high ground here. he's just had his own player booes by chelsea fans for daring to support his own brother but he rows in on john terry's side. no matter how you may say he's supporting a manager's right to pick his own captain etc... hes just supported the guy who on video is clearly shown to have said what he said yet says he's totally innocent meanwhile his own player has no such proof due to not having a video but yet was beleived for every word he said despite making a few exaggerations and admitting his own abusive language.

He can't climb back on the high horse this weekend as a result without looking like a total hypocrite.

Does anything going on outside of Old Toilet have anything to do with him?

    No.

Does that stop him getting his red nose involved?

    No.

Are we surprised he's stuck his oar in?

    No.

    Do I give a flying ****?

No. I don't. SirExLax can say what the **** he likes about England and the FA. I have no interest in it.

I suspect it is the ****-stirring redtop journos asking him for his opinion, hanging on his every word and repeating his bullshit word-for-word. I can't for the life of me believe that (despite his commenting on others previously) he holds more than a passing interest in the issue. Probably only on his radar due to Rio being speculatively linked to the post, and his turning it down.

I have no interest either. It just sticks in my craw that he feels he needs to pass his almighty judgment on something which has jack to do with him.
