Your not a England player if your not good - even though it was all them years ago!

 

I liked him in our first season but its a LONG time since he was good.

Zayette was never any good after Turner was sold. They worked well together with Ashbee doing the spade work in front.

he suited the last ditch defense we played, and he was pretty quick to make up for his unpredictability, he lost a bit of pace and our defence fell apart with turner leaving.

 

Delaney was a good CCC CB, Danny Coles wasn't
Turner & W Brown was a solid CCC partnership but W Brown too slow in PL
Turner & Gardner was good in PL
Turner & Zayatte was OK
Zayatte & Gardner not good enough
Sonko with anyone not good enough
Mouyokolo was pretty decent although he started at RB where he was weak
Ayala, Gerrard, Chester all good NPC CBs
Hobbs hasn't convinced me yet..

Interestingly Wayne Brown & Jack Hobbs played together at Leicester..

 

before Turner, Stan McEwan, Peter Skipper, Richard Jobson & Rob Dewhurst were our best CBs..

 

Bill Baxter and John Kaye (early 70's) for me the best centre back pairing ive seen play for hull city.

Boy those 2 were very tough.
