Sorry shiny, but Marvin is proving time and time again how poor he is, I can't recall him completing a pass yet! Foster as well? Utterly shocking, and Kelly is non-existant. Its like we have come for a 0-0 draw, is that the players or SOD? No passing, no possesion retention, and we look like we are playing Man Utd not Cardiff! I know they have bought their success, but we beat this team earlier in the season, this game has been DM drivel. Come on City, lets get going in the second half and make the game look respectable! If Heaton is our man of the match, it shows you where we are as a club and deserve to be relegated!
If we keep putting the same poor players in the same formations we will keep getting the same result. Its like constantly queueing up for a kick in the bollocks and then saying after "**** me that hurts"
Marv only ever looked good alongside LJ in the first 3/4's of our play off season, he has done precious little since tbh, and is very very negative and poor today. This is truly dire stuff, a real eye opener for SOD.
Apart from one season, and half I just see dross. But I know by saying this some are going to kick off by saying I don't know what I'm talking about.
Must be Madness I know I'm going to have ****ing Cardiff gloating at me now on Facebook. The Mrs has turned her phone off as she don't want to row with her friends texting her
Got my Madness tickets for Chepstow BTW, thanks for that heads up! I'll buy you a beer if I see you there!
I'm on fire with horse form I have unbelievably had 11 from last 12 bet on. Wish I had done an accumulator.
I watched this on the stream that a couple of you posted with radio Bristol commentary 15 seconds later. It was difficult to judge how good Cardiff are at the moment, because we just kept pumping the ball long from defence and not very accurately either. Our tactics were negative in order to contain them, so I suppose an odd goal in three defeat is probably the least bad result we could have had. I hesitate to criticise any individual as they all probably followed the SOD instructions for most of the game. Just one small thing though on Heaton; he's not a bad keeper, in fact IMO slightly better than Gerken. But I notice that when he is one on one as he was with Fraser for the first goal, he makes it easy for the forward by launching himself at the players feet rather than standing up. I always thought that was a basic of goalkeeping.
My Regional Manager is a Forest fan, who was bit pissed that he was sacked by them! But he did have one critism of SoD and that's he worry's about the other team and tries to nullify their play. I don't have a problem with that at the moment but like he said you should also make teams scared of you. Against Cardiff today we did excatly what some of their fans said not to do and try and play defensively to cancel out their moves. When Peterborough beat them they attacked them and put them on the back foot. We went into that game knowing just a point would of been better than expected. If we played against them like we did at AG where we shocked them then we could of at least got a draw. But we sat back invited them onto us. This is where I think DM failed he had a team that attacked and attacked again. When we lost to Blackburn 5-3 no one moaned at least we tried. Then he tried to hard to defend when unfortunately that is not our strong point with the players we have. I hope that on Tuesday against Palarse we take the game to them as we can then beat teams like them. Win all our home games we could stay up. Go out and attack the teams when we are away we could sneak some wins. Sit back invite teams onto us then your asking for trouble. It shouldn't take us till 2-0 down to then start to play offensively. Rant over
Problem is that without Carey and Cunningham at the back the defence is so p1sspoor attacking is hardly an option however defending with the players we had left isn't an option either.
I wasn't knocking Heaton in my original post, just wanna clear that up. All I meant was, if our GK keeps winning MOM it shows how poor we really are. Very bad game today.
Elliott wasn't as bad as some are making him out to be on here Didn't do much wrong and didn't do much right. Like every other player out there today, He's just put in 2 good games against Watford and forrest and our poorest midfielder today was Anderson. Poorest player was either foster or Anderson we looked terrible on the left side. Why Adomah never started is beyond me, Never had any threat/pace in the team at all
"Didn't do much wrong and didn't do much right" Thats the problem though Shiny isn't it, 3 years of nothing. We need more than that...
Bastard I was just typing something along those lines Shiny he's a 50p head mate, please come up into the Dolman so your looking down on the pitch and watch his passing.
