As the title says really,i read a lot of threads on here and sometimes someone comes in with a perfectly reasonable comment but gets slated for it because it isn't positive or is slightly critical,i say everyone's entitled to their opinion and shouldn't be insulted just because there opinion differs,it really gets on my nerves that if you say one little thing against the club,no matter how small you get pounced on and called all sorts of things.I'm not negative about saints but if i feel something aint right about the way things are being done i should be able to say it without feeling that i'm gonna get slaughtered. Also this applies to people who see nothing negative about the club, they should have their opinion without being slaughtered. It's ok to debate but petty name calling is pretty pathetic.Prepare to be slaughtered!
Ok Adam you have made your point.....You should not be slated for your opinion you are right..............What you have to remember is that other people also have an opinion and when that opinion differs to yours you should not take it personally as some do on here. What people have to remember is not to get personal with their comments we would agree. That just means that you get involved with the mods by doing that. Now we all want to avoid that if we can. Do I take it from your comments you wish to say something critical of the club. Then make your criticism You are entitled.
No nothing i would say is critical but probably what others would state as being critical, just thought we needed a striker and i'm disappointed we didn't get one, everything else i'm happy with.Yes people can differ from my opinion but when it gets to name calling or telling me i don't support the club it gets pretty pathetic.
Up to you what you say, but I often feel that some on here can't defend their own opinions very well and start getting huffy when people challenge their view. Don't think you or others get "slaughtered" just that your opinion could be in the small minority and its always going to be the case that the majority view will be stronger in numbers on a forum. I do fall into the trap myself of moaning about the moaners, but rather do that then be negative about the club when there is almost no reason to be so at the moment.
I agree, some people can go over the top with things and sometimes i read posts on here and think oh my god what is this person on? but i don't feel the need to rubbish them.Like i say i'm not negative about the club, far from it but i feel i should be able to say something,i.e transfer and not feel i'm gonna get abused for it.
Of course it is important to take a balanced veiw. To be constantly positive or negative is not a healthy position to take (although being constantly negative about the Skates is a pefectly sensible and acceptable stance to take). I am optimistic about Hooiveld but at the same time wonder about the errors we have made along the way with trying to sign a centre half. In football managers tend to head hunt but I think Cortese looks for more than just playing ability before parting with the money. If he doesn't feel that a player has the right attitude or personality he doesn't sign him. Having been involved in recruitment over many years getting the right person for your business is not easy and is even more challenging when you have a balanced well organised team who get on well together and you do not want to disrupt them. The last thing you want is a rotten apple such as Puncheon to set in the rot. So as it stands I am looking forward to seeing this guy play and then we will be able to decide if Nigel and Nicola have pulled another rabbit out of the hat.
Adkins was determined not to disturb the dynamics of what is a successful team. Only Saints know which targets we went for and why we failed to get them. Reasons probably include competition from other clubs, high wages (very important so as not to upset others), reluctance on part of the player to move areas, and frankly odd ones (Jemel). It's possible that NC is too determined to get a deal..sometimes you have to go in high and blow the opposition out of the water. We'll never know, but as the Don once said, there is always a plan B.
Yes because you were basically slating people before they said anything, basically having a pop at anyone who thought we didn't do well in the transfer market.
I have broad shoulders and a very thick skin and I am also quite old (plus I have had a successful and very happy life) which means I can take most things on the chin and am not easily offended or hurt. If you are young and sensitive a few unkind words can knock your confidence and leave you feeling very hurt indeed. I don't think we should be a bunch of soft namby pambies but I do think we should be polite and well mannered towards each other (although you do have my authority to be as rude and offensive as you like to the Skates).
Lol don't get me wrong,i've got more to worry about than a forum and i'm not sat at home crying over it,just noticed when i read things how silly people get,i haven't had any problems to be honest but i just notice when people say anything slightly critical of the club they tend to get shot down, quite harshly sometimes.
In hindsight maybe i am being over sensitive, maybe i do take it to seriously, god i'm so serious at times!
What you need to remember is everyone on here has different views. Just because someone doesn't agree with your view and says so - don't take it personally. Its too easy to get defensive about a reply. You should see some of the 'personal' tweets I received from Fourth_official when I questioned his inside information.
