A manager buys players, some managers buy one or two, other managers change whole teams. Now given that these players in the main cost millions. And when they are crap , basiclly sold at a great loss to the club. The knock on effect is, higher prices to the fan , endangering the clubs ability to survive, in this very economically challenged world. So as I said in the title " cant happen." Hows about If manager signs a player say Superkev, and we get value/ profit on sell on. the manager gets a bonus. If however the manager buys a neverwas been, he should reimburse the shortfall, between what was paid, and sell on fee. As I said , it will never happen, just as well. cos there would be a lot of skint, so called managers out there. Just a thought.
Spend enough though, how much does a prem manager earn. Venger would be quids in, as would be Fergie, Dalgliesh/ Bruce however would be well and trully skint. Two fors ,,,, Two againsts.
They're talking about Liverpool wanting 17 for Carroll. Dalglish doesn't have £18m lying around to throw back into the club. The transfer system couldn't cope with it. What about big signings who then go on bosmans?
Every manager ****s up though and there are not that many players that Man U etc have bought, and sold on at a profit, for every Christiano Ronaldo there are 5 Juan Sebastian Verons (bought for £28.1 million, sold for 15 million) If this did happen everyone would want to manage in the lower leagues, buy a player for £20,000 I doubt you will make much of a loss on him but you could make £200,000 in a year or 2. Also its this old addage that managers ruin clubs, its the chairmans and in some respects the fans fault for wanting the earth from the chairman/board. its the boards cash, not the managers, manager just says I would like him and him, and him as well, its up to the money people to broker the best deal for all involved, you think Bruce had anything to do with the sum we paid for Gyan, no, he wanted him, we needed him, so rennes took us to the cleaners as they could (back to the transfer window deadline day business from your other thread). Managers are there to coach and get the best out of the team, and to say who they want, who they believe will improve the team, no one is 100% infalable. If the Chairman gets quoted 15 million and spends it, when all and sundry can see he has been ripped off, how is that the managers fault.?
Food for thought though, as I said in the title, cant happen, wont happen. If any manager had his own money invested in any player,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,would he put his money where his mouth is? instead of a gung ho attitude. A bit like Nich Leeson, using Barings money.
That's what the Chairman is for though isn't it. Abramovich certainly puts his money where his mouth is.
What a ridiculous notion. It's all part of modern football some signings pay off some don't simple as that. Plus nearly every manager would be skint!

Strange. How folks dont realy READ. When a thread is put up by a poster, he makes a statement, please read it fully, this is a hypothetical thread, as the title suggests, open for debate, please dont go down the soft sod line. just for the sake of it, because other people dont share your points of view, mine niether for that matter, but Debate is all. One thing I should ask for the detractors of these threads," CAN YOU PLEASE POST A THREAD YOURSELVES" because its the same folk posting on a regular basis, that give you folks a boost [ sad ] and a chance to spout. no more spout lads/lasses,,,,,debate. ones mans meat is another mans poison.
