...by Daniel Brigham. Some pretty compelling evidence towards the end which suggest Redmond - or at least somebody with width and pace has to start games for us (if you're into stats - anyone heard from robbieBB lately? ) http://services.pinkun.com/forums/pinkun/cs/blogs/norwich_and_beyond/archive/2015/01/02/3201984.aspx Anyhow, a belated HNY to all who contribute to the new-look forum. If anyone is thinking of visiting the true, genuine pearl / gem of the north Norfolk coast, you'll be delighted to know that the swell caused by Shannocks jumping into our sea on boxing day has now abated. Cromer can be declared safe once again
It's a well reasoned article, but one clearly based on the premise that 'Redmond must start'. I like Redmond, but he's not yet the finished product. Yes , he can be a handful attacking, but he can also be a weak link when we're defending, as his game is trying to get behind the defence, as it should be, but this also means that he is well out of position if we lose the ball. The four CM formation is narrower, but avoids that problem most of the time. I hope we start with 3 CM and 1 AM in the form of Hoolahan, whose ability to break down defences we sorely missed when he was injured. Redmond is the ideal impact sub to bring on when the opposition are tiring.
