Greetings one and all and a happy New Year to you all from Chateau canary-dave I'll not take too much of your time, I'd just like to reflect on the past year - and what a year it has been! Here we are, half-way through our return to the Premier League, some say the most trying league on the planet, and we're doing very nicely, thank you, languishing in mid-table, having already played several of the top teams, so all's looking well at fortress Carrow Road! I'd also like to say, what a pleasure it's been, representing you, the vast majority of you have been absolutely wonderfully behaved in the face of, at times, some quite stern wumming! One or two of you have bitten a bit too quickly, but hey, we're all human, and it's natural to want to defend your 'family!' Just a friendly word of advice, if you bite too quickly, you are giving them the reaction and attention that they crave! If you ignore them, it hurts them a lot more! If there is anything happening that you don't like, or you can see a way of improving the forum, please do let me know, I read all my PM's, and I will respond to all of them! Finally, I'd like to embarrass ThaiCanary, while we worked together I got to know and rely on and trust him, I regard him as a true friend, and I always will! Unfortunately he was upset by outside influences away from our board, and felt the hassle was too much! I don't mind telling you, I miss him watching my back, especially when things threaten to escalate as with PC's match-day thread with the Spurtz, I think we just about maintained our dignity there! Well, that's about it from me, if you fancy a drink.........get your own Happy watching our yellow and green heroes, let's hope for another year of progress! canary-dave!

I must admit, Yellows, sometimes when I make a 'smart' remark with a naughty word in it, I scroll down and see that you are looking at the post, I feel my ears going red, then I think, "Hang on! She won't know what that means! And, if she does, it means she's heard it before!" Then I feel better!

You are a top chap Dave and a great MOD, i am also very impressed that since Thai stepped down his seat has been reserved in case of a change of heart. I partly regret reversing my curse on the Binners but Warky and Welly don`t deserve the pain and suffering that i put them through..... If we stay up or go down, i`m afraid you are stuck with me in 2012 lads............ON THE BALL CITY.....

Happy New Year Dave and thanks for keeping everyone, including us grumpy old men, in order. Incidentally I found today on the East Anglia Film Archive coverage of a cup game between ourselves and the Binners in 1962 which gave several good shots of the ground at that time. Looking at the state of the ground and the standard of play I found it difficult to be nostalgic!! Let's hope we stay up at the end of the season. Best wishes to all of you.

Massive thanks to Dave! You have done a great job at keeping us lot in order, and you're a top bloke to boot. I appreciate what a difficult job it must be (as demonstrated by the Thai vs HampBin incident), so I am very grateful! Echo sentiments about the type of mod we could have been stuck with, Spurf was a prime example, but if he had not been so adamant that HotSpurz immediately makes you think of Hot Spurtz (it doesn't), then we wouldn't have a new nickname for them. I propose a toast - To our new home, Not606!
