Saturday see's Canaries lineup against SuperHoopz in gameweek-2 of new the EPL series. Gameweek 1 was a disaster for the Norfolk-Based-Franchise, which saw them defeated Five versus Nothing against London Cottagers. In that matchup the de-fense had a nightmare, coneding a PK and a number of turnovers. Coach Hughton's tactics for the opening ballgame were to play G. Holt as a lone score-attempt-converter, however he failed to link up with his midfield-linesmen and Canaries looked weak in the Cottagers endzone. Coach Hughton: “You want to pick up the morale again and we have certainly done that. We like to think if we are doing well as a team then we share that and likewise the same must apply the other way. We will certainly learn lessons and sometimes you can learn more from a heavy defeat. If we needed an introduction back to the league we certainly got one" The matchup against fellow second-series entrants SuperHoopz provides an ideal opportunity to bounce-back from the heavy defeat @ Cottagers, however Canaries have a lot to improve upon if they are to stand any chance of winning this matchup. Whether or not Coach Hughton will revert to the classic-canary-diamond or remain with the lone-S-A-C 4-5-1 formation is tough to call; however the introduction of new defensive-linebackers J. Garrido and S. Bassong should satisfy the Franchise Fans. please log in to view this image SuperHoopz had an equally disastorous series-opener, also being defeated Five versus Nothing. In that ballgame a series of errors in the de-fense and a poor performance from Former-Canaries-Score-Attempt-Preventer R. Green enabled Swansea Swans to breeze to victory. In a lineup peppered with high-profile soccer players, the SuperHoopz result came as even more of a shock than that of Canaries. As per the Canaries attitude, SuperHoopz will view this encounter @ The DeliaDome as an ideal matchup to bounce back. Coach Hughes: "A number of individuals did OK but the team performance was nowhere near where it needed to be. You can make all the excuses you want, but it doesn't wash with me. It's unacceptable and highlights there are players who are not where they need to be.We chased the game when we didn't have to. We became ragged and made bad decisions." This matchup should be exciting if nothing else; expect to see two Franchises who are keen to make ammends for a shocking last ballgame going all out to secure the Three Matchup Points available. These two Franchises could even be locked in a fight against the dreaded rejection zone towards the end of the series, and this matchup could even be considered a Six-Point-Shoot-Out. The DeliaDome bleachers will be packed once again as EPL Soccer returns to Norfolk State. Let's Go Team Canaries! Great work PC (as per usual). A little concerned that Green may perform super-heroics in the nets for the Coo Pee Argh. Neverthless went for the win anyway. OTBC
Great as usual CS! Having now seen a few clips of ESPN I can tell you that you're pretty Much spot on! The way they do it can be irritating (not yours) but at least they go into detail with the build up and analysis. They are also very impartial, unlike Lineker and co! Going to be on a plane during the match so I will be frantically finding wifi in washington to find out the result!
Hello, I am a long time lurker and figured I better actually bother to register so I can contribute rather than just read everything. These threads have always given me a good laugh ever since I discovered this place months ago, quality stuff! Anyway, I am really excited about tomorrow and hope to see a good response to.... last week. Whatever happens I will still wear my City shirt in Switzerland with pride (even if it's not the new one yet, I left England before it came out ).
Welcome CERN, look forward to your contributions! btw - if you think we should go for Jordan Rhodes, don't tell us, tell Superman!
Welcome. Interesting handle , which I assume means you have something to do with the Hadron Collider?
2-1 to QPR looks good value at 11/1, might have some of that myself! http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/norwich-v-qpr/correct-score/spreads
Dunno mate, I'd never bet on us to win, it would feel like tempting fate, and I could never, under any circumstances, whatever the odds, bet on us to lose!! However, I had £10 on you lot to win 2-1 away at Bolton last season at 14/1 I think another £10 at 11/1 QPR 2-1 win is on the cards, if it comes in I win £110...if it doesn't I'm still up on last season anyway, it's a win/win situation!
We're going to find out a lot about one or two today. There's got to be a big reaction, hasn't there? Not expecting silky passing from a well oiled machine, but I do expect some real determination. We've got to be looking for a home win. 2-1 City.
