Welcome to the CanariesSoccer Match Center, Live from The DeliaDome, Norfolk State. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- please log in to view this image I usually go for a funny video here, but given recent events it simply didn't seem appropriate. Justice for the 96. Always Remembered, Never Forgotten. Football United. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey Sports Fans! Saturday see's Canaries head into action against Merseyside RedSox in a bottom-of-the-standings-head-to-head-early-series-six-point-shootout. Last time out Canaries defeated R's One versus Nothing in the Soccer-League-Superbowl; in that matchup the only score-attempt was converted by Freshman midfield-linesman A. Tettey on his Norfolk-State Debut. Coach Hughton: “We have certainly played well enough in the last four games to have got more than we have got and they (Liverpool) would probably say the same. We have to be very respectful to Liverpool. In their last home game against Manchester United until the sending off (of Jonjo Shelvey) they were the better team" Franchise fans will be concerned at Canaries' inability to convert-score-attempts from inside the opposition endzone, although are encouraged by the high-standard of pass-plays which have resulted in numerous conversion-opportunies. So far S-A-C G. Holt hasn't been able to recapture the form he displayed last series, however he is a notoriously slow-starter; here's hoping that he can hit form during this matchup. please log in to view this image Merseyside RedSox have had a surprisingly poor start to their EPL-Series, and currently sit P18 in the Divisional Standings. The introduction of Coach Rodgers (former Swans coach) has produced a high-posession-low-turnover style of play, and it is understandably taking RedSox a while to adjust to this new playbook. Following their victory over Baggiez @ Estadio Del Hawthño, RedSox will be hoping for a repeat performance to take all three ballgame-points from this matchup. Coach Rodgers: "Sometimes as a coach, you can coach players, you can talk with them, you can educate them, but when they go out onto the field, if they’ve got top players around them that can also help them manage the game from the inside" Expect an entertaining matchup infront of another sell-out DeliaDome™ crowd from two Franchises looking to make amends for a slow start. With S-A-C H. Kane injured Coach Hughton may well revert to his favoured front-two of G. Holt and S. Jackson, who will hope to be more than a handful for the RedSox de-fense. This sure is going to be a great Soccer matchup, so fill up your Coca-Cola™ tankards, get your hot-dogs and grab a seat for this smash-and-grab matchup, brought to you exclusively on Not606! Great as usual PC, agree with your "no video" decision! Could this be the day that Holty finds some form????
We haven't beaten liverpool in 18 years We are playing some great football and not converting chances IT IS TIME!
Are you refering to Liverpool or Norwich?! Hope we peform in a similar way we did v United, City & West Brom (this week) and we should win, although have a feeling it will be like the Sunderland game for us where we create loads, only score one and Grant Holt ends up equalising in the last 5 minutes! Good thread btw
On a lighter note to start with. Did you lads get your tractors back or are you still waiting for the insurance to pay out? As for the game it should be good. We won't put our second side out - even though they were too good for a strong WBA side. You'll really notice a different approach to the game from us but I'm hoping that we can secure our first Prem win. But as Ringo sang "It Don't Come Easy".
It describes us both well. But we had 22 chances on goal in the cup the other day an converted one. I'm pretty sure theres an Ipswich fan wich a voodoo doll somewhere lol.
So you're now blaming your poor finishing on our Dark Arts, are you? Anyway, this one's a nailed on Budgie win, you're finally playing a team worse than you, if I can find decent odds on a 2-0 home win I may well have a punt on it!
Put your house on it lad, afterwards when you're homeless don't worry kid i'll take a grand deposit off ya and let you live in one of my gaff's for a ton a week.
Mate, much as I hate to say it, Norwich will get their first win of the season later today, in the words of the old song, "You're ****, and you know you are..." And 18/1 for a 2-0 Budgie win looks ****ing good value to me!
And you think the bookies are as daft as you?., if you're so confident lash your mortgage on it mate.
The only thing that slightly troubles me about my 2-0 prediction is (as was stated on another thread on this board), the possibility of you being awarded a penalty following Rodger's bleating to Mike Riley earlier this week... http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/171479-How-can-it-be-right I can kinda see where they're coming from, and a 2-1 home win is far shorter odds! Anyway, what do you think the score will be?
3-1 to us welly, my logic is we are due to kick someones arse instead of hit the woodwork. Tomorrow woud be a good place to start.
With the best will in the world, mate, unfortunately that logic doesn't work! We've been due to kick someone's arse all season, and we'll probably be waiting a whole lot longer before it happens too! You've convinced me, £10 on a 2-0 home win tomorrow at 18-1, as a neutral, it'll make the match more interesting to watch... Good Luck, anyway!
top thread very nice spoofing of our clubs predicament. LFC to throw the shed at norwich for preciselt 28mins then not score, walk in at half time thinking they are it, come out conceed within 5 mins then panic... OR... we'll play sahin, proper full backs i ntheir proper positions and stick gerrard up top out f the way... in which case you lot better be ready for a game!
