------------------------- Hey Sports Fans! Saturday see's Canaries take to the field versus Coach O'Neill's Black Cats Franchise. Last time out in the EPL Canaries were away in the Deep South where the took on Saints; in that matchup Canaries conceded a disputed conversion early on but were able to fight back to secure a valuable tiegame. In that matchup Canaries only Score-Attempt was from a R. Snodgrass FK which was fumbled by Saints S-A-P G. Gazzagonozaai. Coach Hughton: “In fairness it was difficult for the referee. They [Southampton] worked it well and there were lots of bodies around. I've spoken to the players and they're adamant it struck his arm. But it was great to see Mark back. He is an excellent referee and we need referees like him in our game.” Canaries have now extended their unbeaten spell to 7 ballgames, with a record of 3-4-7 in the EPL. Key to their recent upturn in form has been the new-look de-fence which Coach Hughton has assembled. They use a whole new play-book and are breaking down opposition off-fenses with relative ease - something which is a far cry from the de-fense under Coach Lambert. please log in to view this image Black Cats current sit P16 in the EPL divisional standings, three positions and three ballgame points below Canaries. Despite playing positive soccer and having abundant quality in their squad, Black Cats have struggled so far this series. A matchup versus Canaries will appear to be the perfect opportunity to turn around their poor form. Coach O'Neill: "Chris [Hughton] has come in and done very well. He is an excellent young manager and his record in recent seasons has been very good. Norwich have a bit of solidity about them now. They were conceding goals early on in the season but seem to have rectified that. They are on a very good run at the moment.”." The result of this matchup depends on whether or not Black Cats will be able to utilize their off-fense play book - Canaries have looked solid in the de-fence in recent weeks but lacking in the opposition endzone so a single Score-Attempt could well be the decider. This is going to be a real test of how far Canaries have come against a Franchise who will be aiming to finish in a similar position to them. Come on Sammy, sort your hangover out and put the finishing touches to the thread for the Friendship Cup! Well done sir!
Stat for y'all, with the exception of the Liverpool game, City haven't conceded a goal at home from open play.
Just popped over to say good luck for tomorrow, Yous should win with your defense and form ATM! But hey anything can happen in soccer! Brings a smile to my face seeing Sunderland lose and as far as am aware the 1 and only previous result against Sunderland for Chris H was a 5-1 victory when he was up here So good luck and how are you's finding life with Hughton?
I think we're finding it pretty good! All his signings have had a huge impact, we're on our longest unbeaten PL run since the early 90's, and we're enjoying having a manager we can actually understand! I think at the moment we're struggling for goals a little, but he's got our defence sorted so for once we feel that one goal might actually be enough. I think a few of us would like a little more tinkering to help with making chances, but nobody's complaining!
