With kick off just over 3 hours away and the absence of a KIO 'special', I thought I'd get the ball rolling. After a disappointing result on Saturday, tonight gives us the chance t bounce back and make us better prepared for a daunting trip to the Den on Saturday. Basil is injured may not even be fit for Saturday and Jerome is not 100%, but at least Pinto should be fit enough to start. Thank goodness we then have the International break after Saturday. I'm going for a fairly comfortable Canaries victory. Don't forget - you can listen on Rodeo Norfolk if you can get reception where you live and you can listen to 'Canary Call' on line. PS - Cromer feel free to merge if KIO is going to produce one of his 'masterpieces!!'
Top man JM thanks for stepping into the breech once again. I've been sorting a load of personal cr@p out recently and MDT's have been the last thing on my mind. Although I could submit one of my usual's for Millwall, it's only fair you have first dibs #otbc
Pluses and negatives with the line up. Not as much of a dreaded a feeling as looking at the last line up. Nice to see Tetty back in the side for a bit of bite! Interesting to see how Hoolahoops and Maddison combine again. Martin, Franke and Spiderman playing along side each other is a bit worrying, but at least it's not: Martin, Franke, Spiderman and Husband
If Hoolihan now doesn't play on Saturday, I'm seriously questioning the wisdom of selecting him tonight. so far he has been critical to us playing better. why play him in a far less important cup game? bah!
Interesting to see Stiepermann deployed at LB when Toffolo should be fully fit. Suggests Farke does consider "backup LB" part of his role in the squad. Hopefully Naismith and Watkins can bounce back from poor performances, and like FML I'm keen to see how Tettey does. If he can sit, break up play and play a simple pass to let Wes and Maddison create, he might work his way into first team contention.
I'd be interested to see Reed and Tetty play together in the middle. Allowing far more flair in attack.
I'd like to see Reed and Tettey too, I think we've currently got too many creative players, and nobody to win the ball back. Those 2 with three in front to create seems like a better balance than Reed plus 4 creative types. In terms of making chances, less might well be more!
Yea, that's what I said about the last match. We only had Reed. Tetty, ReedMaddison, Hoolahan Nelson Jerome Would be interesting.
Might as well! I didn't write in the defence, because, apart from Pinto, I don't know where to start with any of them. Maybe Klose when fit. But depends where his head and heart is.
Can we please GIVE Naismith away. Considering what we paid for him, he must be the worst purchase in our history.
