The newly promoted Premier League side are considering offering the 32-year-old a deal at the club following his release from the Championship outfit towards the end of last season. please log in to view this image Barton, who won one international cap for England, scored one goal in 28 appearances in all competitions for Chris Ramsey’s side last season as they slipped out of the English top flight. Having also played for Manchester City and Newcastle United; Barton has made it clear his desire is to return to the Premier League this summer, with the Canaries in pole position as manager Alex Neil looks to bolster his midfield ranks.
I'm sure I'm not alone in hoping that this is just a rumour - I don't see him fitting in to AN's ethos of no 'prima donnas'.
Wouldn't say he is a 'primadonna' rather just a complete knob. Don't think he's a terrible player, just think his personality isn't great and he doesn't offer us anything Mulumbu doesn't.
Can't see him lining up with his old mucker Bradley Johnson in midfield somehow, and that's a position I'd say we're well stocked in so I'm 99% certain this is nothing more than a load of tish and fipsy.
