Canaries and Magpies serve up a duck.

    Norwich City 0 Newcastle 0

Newcastle produced one of their worst Premier League performances of the season but thankfully it was more than matched by hosts Norwich, as both sides drew a blank at Carrow Road on Saturday afternoon.

Avoiding another defeat and a clean sheet were about the only positives to take from the stalemate in Norfolk but the return of Yohan Cabaye and Mathieu Debuchy's debut gave our side a much-needed boost.

    The above is from NUFC.com

Maybe I've seen so much bad football lately that I've become immune to it. I didn't think it seemed as bad as other people are making out. It wasn't great, that's for sure but we didn't capitulate and throw in the towel, we gave as good as we got. I didn't think Williamson was as bad as people made him out to be (once again, with seeing so much lately I've become immune to errors and bad defending) and he did have some good moments. The brightest part of the game of course was the introduction of Cabaye who didn't look as if he'd been out of the game at all and settled straight in and almost created a goal. Debuchy looks like he's going to be a fans favourite and settled in quite well, although it was a pity about his booking.

Cabaye coming over at the end of the game to throw his shirt into the crowd didn't do his fan worship any harm and at least somebody has something to treasure out of the game.

Crowd: 26,752 - Higher than their average but 88 short of their season's highest. Pity we hadn't taken another 88 down as Maestro and Dave mentioned something about their highest gate in a post on Friday.

I've got to admit AB, that watching the game on a stream, it looked dire, and if we had scored in the last few seconds, I think it would have been a total injustice.
Both teams just didn't seem to know how to play the final ball.
It seemed to me that they were alsmost scared to try something.

Good result and important point. Even more important was the clean sheet. ****e to watch though, although performance is secondary at present.

Could have got you a seat in our end if you'd wanted one. Had a spare B&W top with me too.
