We can be as big as Real Madrid Postby mjw6150 » Wed Jun 06, 2012 9:27 am This idea, hard to take but when looked at in the cold light of day, is genius. We have seen a few clubs with rich owners who are not throwing money away for fun such as Aston Villa, really struggle to break the top 4/6 of the PL. A similar owner for Cardiff would only get us so far. VT knows the Asian market because he is only doing this because he will make the club a fortune in turnover from it. Now, what is coming in soon...Financial Fair Play. Clubs can only spend a % of turnover. So sugar daddys are out! But if we increase our turnover, and we will if we become adopted as the official PL club of Asia, we could be an incredible club! QPR are selling shirts out there just by being owned by a Malaysian. We will be owned, sponsored and have our culture fushioned with them. VT will surely use his TV channel to make all our games live out there. This idea has huge potential and we must remember that in this difficult time. http://www.cardiffcityforum.co.uk/v...&start=0&sid=cd9e1ab51ed7c189a00f9142511a58a0
'So sugar daddys are out! But if we increase our turnover, and we will if we become adopted as the official PL club of Asia, we could be an incredible club!' well thats you ****ed then. QPR lost £25m in your promotion season. last season a wage / turnover ratio of 180%. suicidal figures. unlike QPR, this '£100m' only a relatively small part will go on players.
In answer to the title of this thread, I think in view of the attention we are getting from fans all over the UK, we are already someway there!
Can't control how people feel about us fella. But regardless of their reasons, there's no denying that they're here in numbers. While I'm sure we're very appreciative of your concern, but perhaps it deserves a more deserving home as most on here see the positives of recent events. Well done for last season too. I expect my old mate RangersCol was delighted.
Thanks mate, I'm only having a bit of fun, you have my sympathy, hope the new home shirts stay on the rails & stands stay a sea of blue.
