http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35575072 John Carver giving advice on how to manage Newcastle United? What a muppet! I do not believe for one second that anyone has offered this talentless buffoon a job. He's given me a damn good laugh here!
Id rather have carver i all honesty and thats saying something. Mclaren has a better squad and we are worse or at least no better.
He's extremely bitter. The funny thing is... He honestly thinks his opinions carry weight. He should stick to doing Benidorm.
Nothing Carver says here is in any way incorrect though. If it was any other pundit this wouldn't even be up here. The Press are always going to go to Carver as a former boss and a Newcastle supporter so I think we should expect many more sound-bites from the man over the course of the season.
I absolutely hate Carver But he makes a very valid point regarding Captain Colo. "He is not your modern-day captain," said Carver. "He keeps himself to himself. He tries to organise things behind the scenes with the players - nights out, paintballing and that sort of thing. "But when it comes to leadership on the pitch, he is not vocal enough for me. He needs to be more vocal and get people together because in times of trouble you need leaders. "He has got to step up now. Along with the experience of the likes of Daryl Janmaat, Jack Colback, Jonjo Shelvey, Moussa Sissoko, they have got to get them together and say: 'Come on, we have to get this sorted and make sure we are not playing in the Championship next season'."
Erm... didn't JC constantly pick him as his captain? Looks like Leslie makes it up as he/she goes along.
John Carver is an enthusiastic Newcastle United fan and did well for years as an assistant. He proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is in NO WAY qualified to be a Manager. He has an insight to the club, of course, but you wouldn't take financial advice from a tramp!
