I hope so as that would mean i have to collect even more money :):). I think it is just out of reach tho as we would need to nigh on double our points total in our final 15 games

It's a big ask - 50 points! I do not think either of our teams will hit that kind of target.
If we both settle for 42-45 we should be more than happy in the knowledge PL football awaits us in August <ok>

No, I don't think we'll get near 50 points, Breezy. But I'd settle for 40 all day long.

In the last two seaons, 50 points would see us finish 8th and 9th. Can't see that happening, but it's only a couple more wins than draws, so you never know. I'd probably take 38 points to be honest, cos that's all we'll need to stay up imo.

Yes let's just get to 40 points first, any extras would be a bonus and a great achievement for our lads who were odds on to go down before a ball was kicked.

Hi fellas. Long time no speak.

Yep, I'm a Bluebird, and in the interests of apparently required disharmony, I have to use the disclaimer of "it breaks my heart to say this, but"..............

Anyway, as a football fan, I have to say that when you went up, the prospect of you coming straight back down, didn't cross my mind. And I suspect that's a common feeling amongst fans from outside of your own club. It's sometimes not easy to see the wood for the trees, especially when you're in new surroundings.

Your style of football has been a breath of fresh air over the last few seasons, and not only are you winning the plaudits of everyone who knows anything about football, you've become an effective team that has developed the most enviable of ethics of not compromising your style whilst winning games.

I know if I was in your position, I would probably worry about staying up, but talking from THE most outside of outside views, you really have nothing to worry about, and you can look forward to progressing in the top flight.

Anyway, keep this post to yourselves. I don't want to be accused of being a defector - it's bad enough being defective!

You may now recommence hostilities. <ok>

We had all our killer away games first half & did well at home against the lesser teams . After a win against Arsenal at home & a point from Chelsea at home ( could have been more ) , we SHOUld keep our home form against the good teams & our away form against the lesser teams should pick up in theory . I'm sticking to 50 points , realising that anything can happen but the signs are good

We know that you are a loyal Bluebird,so no need to apologise for that!!! I always suspected that you were a closet Jack.

As already stated, good to hear from you,and hope, most sincerely, that you are in the very best of health.

I think 50 points is a good goal to set. I don't think we'll achieve it but set your sights high and you'll achieve high things. Ambition is f**king critical!

i reckon we will get a min of 42, if everything goes peaches (which i know it wont) 59, absolute pessimism 36 so averaged out 137/3 = 45/46 - hope i am right

    Just looking at average points achievable per game (3 (W) + 1 (D) + 0 (L) / 3 = 1.333) with 15 games left that's give us 20 points putting us on 47. That'll do me. Even if we draw every game I think we'll be safe.

An average of 1 point a game will be fine =42. Anything above 17th place will do me, whatever the points.

I said at the start of the season that I tipped us to be mid table at the end, probably just inside the bottom half. I've seen nothing to change that view so far and if anything we're improving away from home whilst maintaining 'Fortress Liberty'. 50 points? Why not? Probably just fall short but we won't be far off imo.

so far you've averaged 1.17 points a game, if you carry that on til the end of the season you'll get 45 points (rounded up), bearing in mind there are games which you have literally chucked away points, like wolves away, i think its very possible you'll get 50 points <ok>

It's nice to read such unbiased oppinions from a Cardiff fan Swamp!! I hope you're right though about the points. I like your picture by the way. How are the owners thought of by the Cardiff faithful?

thanks m8, so far that image has summed up our season, everyone united behind the cause, fans, manager, players, owners, that picture was taken as they did their lap of honour after palace, they are very highly thought of here, even though we didnt sign anyone this window bids were still put in for sordell of watford who eventually went to watford for £3m and noone of brighton, £1m+ rejected, mackay has acknowledged that the owners have always made money if he feels there are players who will improve the squad <ok>
