Or will the fans show frustration after being in league one and winning most of our matches and then loosing a lot more in this season. I know quite a few supporters whom have bought season tickets after winning at Wembley and I am concerned the fans will not show their support after a few home defeats. This is our big chance to get things right before promotion but will probably need to splash the cash at some stage for the right type players who will give us the edge to win promotion. What sort of time frame for promotion are our expectations. 3 to 4 years for me and will attempt to sit back and try and enjoy the football in this division for a few years at least.

I know a lot of fans worry our squad isn't up to the Championship and in part I wouldn't disagree.
However what we do have is a very savvy manager and a togetherness within the squad which we haven't had for years and that could take us a long way despite some players perceived shortcomings.
As in all things we'll just have to wait and see.

We won’t win 46 games . As soon as we lose one of the ones we will lose, those born to moan will quickly find their voice. I do think the majority will concentrate on enjoying the good days

I would say our squad doesn’t look on paper up to challenging at the top half of the Championship. That doesn’t concern me in the slightest, staying up and avoiding a relegation battle will be perfect. We can then continue to build.
That being said, the team spirit, crowd, manager and bit of momentum could see us punching above our weight. Think vast majority agree that would be a bonus and nobody is taking it for granted.

Yeah, I'd be cool with three more sesons of building before getting to the Prem.

....as we build, KLD will tap into his contacts throughout Europe....under the radar..

After 4 seasons of L1 I'll be enjoying every bloody game, win, lose or draw.

My thoughts exactly. A couple seasons of mid-table mediocrity whilst we stabilise and build a capable young squad is absolutely fine by me. But no reason we can't challenge if everything "clicks".

I don't think there is a great deal between the teams that finish 7th and the teams that finish 21st. We have a good squad that had a soft centre. Alex Neil has sorted that and added some quality with more to come.
I think we can comfortably finish top half without threatening the play offs. I do hope the extra 5-10k who have signed up on the back of promotion stay patient and stay with the team. It's been a cracking atmosphere in the ground the last 4 seasons, despite our predicament and I hope that doesn't change

I wouldn't be surprised if we have a quiet season and finish mid table or even perhaps slightly lower. But neither would I be surprised if we were comfortably in the playoffs.
I don't expect us to win it or even go up automatically and I don't see a relegation scrap being on the cards.

between 2 and 4 years in the Championship is fine with me. Building towards a return to the Premier League is the important thing. As long as there's some progress being made, there's no undue rush to get there.

Until we’re ready to be something other than Premier League cannon fodder, the Championship is also fine with me. Those annual PL relegation battles were exhausting and soul destroying.

I have zero doubt that KLD wants us to reach a competitive level in the Premier League, but that will take time.

10 years of just simply every single thing going wrong (or so it felt), the back to back relegations, 4 seasons in the third division and most of that because one bloke did not know how to run a football club, put his trust into others and threw money into an endless pit of hope.

we now have an owner with football knowledge who has an obvious plan (and i very much doubt he will be swayed from that plan), we have a squad that not only looks good together they honestly seem to enjoy being on the pitch together and we have a manager who has proved to us that although he might tinker with the team he knows what he is doing and he does his groundwork on every game.

i am not even sure i want to see premier football again with the 'big team bias' and VAR calls of a hairy toe-nail offside and taking the action back 10 minutes to see if there was some reason to chalk a goal off, so i would be happy to 'endure' a couple of seasons at least in the championship as the club continues the rebuilding and i also know that some fans will never accept it, they want us in the premier even if it means losing most games then they have something more to whine about.

Progress would be midtable. Anything less that wasn't relegation wouldn't be a disaster, anything more would be brilliant.

Anyone who takes the huff if it's anything less than a promotion charge is an idiot.

Got to agree really whether you are playing or supporting surely the ultimate goal is to do so at the highest level possible.

I have absolutely no desire or feel any rush to return to the Premier. We wouldn't be ready anyway if its anytime less than 3 year.

When we do return I want it to be with a clearly class above championship team and an ownership team with even a little bit of coin to spend to at least help us compete sensibly without a hiding.
