The one thing we have learnt over the last 4 years is not to second guess our Board! They don't go for the obvious choices. When thay appointed Martinez he was untried, Sousa had had a bad spell at QPR and Rodgers was on the dole. The announcement of each as manager was greeted with muted applause. Goodness knows who they will pull up next!
Holloway seems to be a firm favourite among our lot PGF, I dont believe the rumour that Pep Gaudiola was seen down the mumbles with a local estate agent house hunting mind.
I like Holloway! "Premier League and we're guaranteed a laugh". Can't see it though. Can't believe Lambert wants to jump ship at Norwich. Why bring a team from League 1, through the Divisions and then bugge* off to a team below you!! It's madness.
Interesting times for both of us with our managers using us as stepping stones. We wish them well and move on remembering the good times but also aware that no manager or player is bigger than the club or fans. Both our clubs are decent proposition for many managers and we should see the future as bright. Good luck next season to all you Swans (barring the 2 obvious games) and lets prove the doubters wrong and have good seasons (finishing well above Villa and Liverpool!).
Amen to that - let's hope both us and the Swans repeat last seasons success. You can bet your life the media will have us both as nailed on favourites for the drop now so let's show 'em eh lads ?
