Thank you Neil for making today possible for us. Both the incredible promotion last year but also leaving us in 17th and many great performances this season.

You beat the Scum, nuff said <applause>

He laid the foundations so yeah, give him credit for that....nearly screwed it up but as TF said after the match, decision vindicated. I cannot wait for a full season under MH and TF.

Sir Neil of Warnock! I will never forget you. At least you knew how to attain away points better than Sparkle. # QPR Legend

Igor and 12th, not exactly what the OP was hoping for!

Neil Warnock worked wonders with us and today is as much his achievement as anyone else's. Arise and be recognized Sir Neil.

    Good thinking Norway.

It wasn't though was it? With hindsight it all swung on Liverpool pressing the following buttons in quick succession; Complacency, Panic and Self-Destruct. There was no master plan at work here and I hope that TF knows this. We got lucky in a poor relegation scrap. Do we deserve to stay up? Yes. We really were the best of a bad bunch. We've got the points that make it so and that's all that counts. But nobody will ever convince me we wouldn't have survived under NW.

COLIN and SPARKY (sounds like a cartoon) between them did enough to keep us up. So thanks to both of them but improvement needed next season.

Really? We'd gone from winning away games to winning nothing week in week out. He didn't have a plan, just passion and hope for the best. Wasn't working and he'd lost the dressing room. Dire times. Even with a few signings in January, seriously doubt he could've pulled things round.

However, Sir Neil's name is already etched in Rangers folklore. Fastest title ever won! Top bloke.

Yes really! I don't get this "he didn't have a plan" thing at all. We had a bad run lasting 6-7 weeks. Let's hope we're more patient next time out.

It wasn't so much he didn't have a plan Tel, he was tactically void. He said as much himself. So did his champion, Clint Hill, when Norwich regrouped to a 5 man midfield and were over running us. Clint begged Warnock to do likewise but to no avail - and we lost a game we should have got something out of.

The bad run ended with his departure didn't it? Remember MKD? Got a draw though just about. I really couldn't see him getting us going again at all.

This season however, he had to go!!

We will never know I do feel he probably would not have bought Cisse and picked up more points from the games he was suspended from!

    Give it a rest Col!

Last week people were saying that he should be blamed IF we went down, those small minded individuals probably will not have the courtesy to praise NW's part in keeping us up.

Well he did help to keep us up and was one of the best managers we have ever had espcially when taking into account the madness going on behind the scenes.

    God I love Colin.

Here we go again! Warnock is probably the best motivator at work in English football but he relies 100% on inspiration and offers virtually nothing in terms of organization and his player aquisition methods are a complete lottery. He gave us Hill, Derry and Ferdinand but also gave us Hulse, Barton and Bothroyd. There is zero chance he would have attracted the likes of Diakite, Taiwo and Cisse who will be the very effective spine of our PL quality squad next season. Would we have survived under Neil? Possibly, but the change would inevitably have had to come anyway.

    Great post Norway!

Thanks Colin, thanks Sparky, thanks TF, thanks to all the players, thanks to all the back room staff, management, trainers, and thanks to all the fanatastic support. Many times yesterday I could only hear R's singing at the Ethiad!

Great OP Norway, well said. Also, I think it has to be pointed out that some of the signings Warnock made for us preseason in the Championship have been absolutely invaluable to our survival this season in the prem, namely Jamie Mackie, Clint Hill and Shaun Derry, and perhaps Adel. Thanks for everything Sir Neil.

Having said that, (with the exception of Traore and Ferdinand) I think that the less said about his panic buys this season the better, althought I think that the delay in the takeover gives him mitigating circumstances.
