I ask as 9 of Sat's team have them. Anyone know if Eze or Lumley do as they are the only ones I am unsure about.? Lumley? Angel yes Bidwell yes Lynch yes Leister yes Pav yes Luongo yes Cousins yes Freeman yes Eze? Wells yes
Have enjoyed looking at pictures of Lumley and Eze in a swimming pool ( just for you Stan.. OBVIOUSLY)... And I cannot see any visible tattoos. Might check the same videos again this afternoon just in case I missed anything. Thank you Stan for this diversion from the match day girls, don't really get much out of that bit of the thread I must admit Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
Harder to pick a football team without tats imo Some of them look like they have shoved their arms up a cows arse My son has his legs covered with ones he has done himself as has the skills and gear Anymore and I am going paint him while he is asleep I studied the subject at uni during my time and never thought then it would turn into what it has I have none but am close to have a twin peaks symbol done on the back of my neck For people who have none what would you have done ?
Am thinking of a rolling A...on my wrist ( probably only Stainsy knows what that is) Just need the nerve to do it.. The good thing about getting a tattoo when elderly. You don't have enough years left for it to spread too much Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
I just don't think they would suit me so have stayed away. However I am interested in the reasons as to why people have them, and do appreciate the artwork
Just for you Beth. We can add Cameron too, don't forget. I would like to get inside someone's head who has them and what they were thinking at the time and how, years later they feel about them. Some companies do not employ tattooed people and the Police are not allowing new recruits to have them on display, allegedly. Pointless and a waste of money IMHO.
I was so against them when I had children (both girls) growing up. But when old enough my eldest has got two (my youngest has none, but she saw the pain of having it done and has decided against it at the moment). Her first tattoo was just a fad she got when she was 18 and old enough to do it on her own, but her second means a lot to her personally, she got it at age of 30 (18 months ago). As said I am seriously thinking about getting a discrete one on my wrist. The symbol I want means an awful lot to me, to my family, to my children and hopefully the way I now run my life. I currently wear the same symbol, permenantly on a leather thong round my neck. It seems sensible to go one step further, and I have been contemplating it for at least 7 years. I decided to wait until I retired for job reasons, but still haven't quite got round to it. I think I will quite soon.
I like tattoos and currently having my arm ‘sleeved’. Getting an old ‘lick and stick’ bulldog removed from when I was 17 and already got 2 cherubs with the Roman poem ‘Odi et Amo’ as well as my kids names. Booked in next week for an angel and a bit more script on my forearm, soon to be followed by a dove on the other side. Bloody expensive at £150 an hour but the guy is very good so worth it.
Worth it,really? In what sense, surely not financially? Beth, I don't quite follow what the 'A' thing is all about. As DT says let's try and pick a QPR XI, tattoo free. Am struggling.
Worth it ‘cos I like them and they are a good quality (rather than paying a lot less money for a poor quality tattoo).
I think only Stainsy will no what a rolling A is....will try and find one for you Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
Tats are up to the individual, as long as they are aware when they make a decision that they might be discriminated against by some. For myself I find them deeply unattractive if more than a discrete, personally meaningful symbol. I don’t actually find even these attractive, just interesting. Beth I can’t really see the point of having an obscure sign tattooed on yourself somewhere visible to others if you are not prepared to share what it means. You are going to be asked about it a lot. And be prepared for disappointed reactions when you tell them it is the Levellers rolling anarchy (Proudhon would be proud to have his slogan as merchandise) bumper sticker, and has nothing to do with the Russian motor bike club of the same name. I can imagine getting my kids’ names tattooed somewhere Iike the the inner arm for when I forget who they are. Of course I have the EU stars around my right nipple, the cross of St George on my left, the words to the Red Flag on my left shoulder blade and to balance Rule Britannia on my right. Doesn’t everyone? Tattoos in languages which the bearer doesn’t understand - Latin, Chinese characters etc, - should, by law, always say something other than what the bearer asked for.
I think you will find that tattoos, once the preserve of the criminal classes and sailors, have been well and truly appropriated by the middle classes now. We take all the good stuff and make it ours, then ruin it. Like football.
