Someone from the club to come out and explain to us supporters how the club went about their dealings in the last window.

Someone to tell us what went right and what went wrong in their transfer efforts.

Someone to explain to us in simple English just what the situation is with Yann N'Vila.

Someone who in my opinion should be either David Moyes or our CEO Mr Bain.

    Am I expecting too much?.

I have to agree with the M'vila point mind. Moyes surely needs to and will clarify the situation asap.

We will just have to wait and see what transpires in January then make our own minds up about what has gone on, or gone wrong as the case may be. It has not been a bad window, apart from the decisions over Lens and M'Vila, two very good players who we could do with now imo.

Kazan wanted £8.5m according to reports today. £8.5 million pounds for a player who can sign a pre contract agreement and move for free in January. Whether we do or don't have a pre contract, no way should a club be held to ransom to that extent. If we'd paid that much for him, this board would all be asking why when he's free in January.

I understand this point of view, but for say 7 or 8 million we could be so much stronger, apart from anything else, the rewards for staying in this league would more than compensate for any short term setback to our accounts, not to mention any future growth in the players values.

A fortnight ago we all thought Kazan were after 5 million, now its 7 or 8, where does it stop.
We all want Yann here but I think common sense has prevailed here and if we end up loosing him then the club won't get slated by me.

We can only sign free agents, who were free agents when the transfer window closed.

Nobody can sign him until January, now.

In his two most recent interviews Moyes hinted at Rubin asking a lot. For all we know the club could have offered the equivalent of what is left on his contract for his release but they did not want to know.

For all it is a calculated risk I feel it is one worth taking as both club and player know what they are getting in the long term.

It doesn't work like that unfortunately.

Even if it did, why would they suddenly accept that now? Reading between the lines that's exactly what we've been offering for the last 3 months. They've said "no **** you its £8m or nothing", what can we do besides sign a pre-contract and tell them to go **** themselves? Seems to me to be exactly what we've done.

This club has to stand it's ground otherwise we'll never make any progress.

Agents have to know that this is a decent club but not one that will be walked all over.

However, I'd say that Allardyce type escapades with Russian clubs, and others, should be avoided.

I'd rather we dealt mainly with British clubs where these ludicrously complicated deals can usually be avoided.
