    No...

The tackles in the prem are nowhere as near as robust as the one on Kimbo yesterday. A lot more work goes into intercepting the pass than actually tackling now.

I think players like Kimbo will definitely be targeted.

There are loads of players in the Prem amongst the other clubs who want to would win the game with their sheer skill.

Having said that, there are also a fair amount of assassins sprinkled around, and what's worse, some managers who aren't afraid to use them

I think after having his nose smashed twice by the Burnley thugs last season Kim bo is made of stronger stuff than perhaps he'd appear to made of.
Whilst the quality and pace is higher in the PL I'm sure the physicality is decreased compared to the championship which can be brutal at times.

Players in the EPL are under much more scrutiny than any other league so are very careful when they go in for tackles personally i think it is more a case of mistiming their tackles than anything malicious or sinister ITI.<ok>

    Bobby - yes.

If we come back from that one unscathed, we'll have got away with a tough initiation to the Prem.

Again I hope you're right Mabs but I've seen some ugly stuff on that alien program they call Match Of The Day.

I think we will be one of the more physical sides in the PL.

Tend to agree - I can see Kimbo, Noone and Whitts throwing their weight about a lot.

Physical sides still have playmakers who will be targeted. We have ours who'll receive the treatment - the Prem isn't full of fairies.

Looks like Caboue knows how to get stuck in, 17 yellows and at least one red last season. Could be the missing link? Well, you know what I mean!!!

The EPL is that the same sort of league as the Barclays Premiership <laugh> <laugh>

Sorry for being so pedantic but the amount of crap i have to take off the english about the Welsh teams in the prem is mindblowing, The first year the jacks went up i spent more time defending why they should be in the prem than i did about Cardiff.

There will always be players that use these tactics to take out a troublesome player, and there will always be managers that use them for that purpose.
I'm not sure we will have this kind of trouble to start off with, I'm more concerned about the crafty players that will entrap our players into giving away dangerous free kicks and penalties.
