The 2nd leg is upon us and the weather forecast is for rain and strong winds. I sincerely hope we can turn the tie around in our favour. It will be a huge ask though, especially with Shawcross missing, and me being usually pessimistic when the stakes are high. Let's hope we can put pressure on their back four as they are suspect to balls in the box. We need everyone to be up for this and hopefully they will be. There is really nothing to lose at the end of the day but I'm nervous!
Don't worry PP, ain't worth it. If it happens it happens. The sun will still rise tomorrow...hopefully
Hope the team can do it tonight, it's a big ask with Ryan out, they have a chance, winner takes all, so come on Stoke city players, show us what it means to you, show us your ambition and your desire and give Ryan the chance to lead you out at Wembley!!
Just said to my son "If Stoke could sneak one, it would make it very interesting" ..... and hey presto ...
We played well enough and had enough chances to win it in normal time - However Liverpool were shocking, so we only have ourselves to blame. Disappointed in any penalty miss, especially when you don't put your foot through it!
Unlucky lads, you did well there last night, probably deserved to go through on the night. Penalties are a nightmare way to lose.
Nope. Being generous Stoke were very very slightly less ****e last night, but they were completely played off the park in the first leg. Lucky to be in it after the first half of the first leg, lucky to be gifted an offside goal. The main regret Stoke fans should have is they abandoned all their hard work to play good football for nothing. Some fast paced football on the ground could have easily won the tie.
you have a different view to everyone else on oatcake who all seem to pretty much slating klopp lucas and flanno oddly :L you were the better side over 2 legs, and deserved to go through but don't think you created enough tbf
I listened to the match and we had chances but our goal was offside and we didn't convert any of the others, so fair end result really.
Smithers...can you please ban astroturfnaut from this forum, in checking out his 'history' - he really is a nasty piece of work. Thank you
I have read several good comments about our performance last night but I am still gutted that we lost on penalties in the end, a cruel way to go out of a cup competition. We have had many recent successes but last night was our turn to lose out. A great result over 120minutes but, alas, we are not the team going to Wembley. My pessimism had me thinking we would have probably lost the game but it was a sterling turnaround by Stoke. I just hope now that Man City get through tonight and then go on to beat Liverpool. I don't want to see an all-spouse final and all the hype that is likely to attract.
Gutted about last night but that shows how far we have come. Astronaut just **** off you dim bastard. It was a toss of the coin in the penalties and unfortunately we lost. Two even sides over the 2 legs but there can only be one winner and last night wasn't our night. Like Nicky says let's try to beat palace in the fa cup now.
