The way Norwich have handled their season is sublime. Full credit to them and their manager but i was thinking that saints may be able to do the same. We are not at that good at the league one style of play, deffend for our lives and hoof it. Well thats what everyone else seems to do to us. I haven't really seen Brighton play that much but im not sure whether they could match out attacking and passing mentalilty in the championship, thats if we get promoted. Fingers crossed
It would be great if we could, however I'd be more than happy if we got into the Championship and then did a Pompey - i.e. just avoided relegation fairly comfortably.
Strewth guy's don't get carried away!! Lets get over the first hurdle then worry about the next one. As for Brighton well you will see what they are like at the weekend. They will have a go at you and are full of confidence. It will be interesting to see how the contrasting styles match up.
IF we went up then consolidation and securing our position would be the first aim, play-offs a bonus.
Just want promotion at the moment, preferably auto (for the sake of my heart and nerves). It's hard to get out of the lower leagues even with great support, look at Leeds. Consolidation next year would do me and could be better for long term development. Too rapid elevation could leave you in the Premiership trying to rapidly bolt on suitable players.
I took it as read fran. After today's results we need something from the Brighton game and it isn't a defeat.
We can beat Brighton, but even if we don't it's still in our hands. Huddersfield fans must be on their knees praying for us to slip up. Sometimes we forget there are other anxious fans out there.
I have been thinking all season you could do the same as you are a big side who deserve to be in the Premiership like Norwich do.
