longsight, you may be right about the last four years in terms of transfers, but i bet you they are spending a heck of a lot more on wages this year than they were in the past three years! rumours are crouch is on about 75k a week

While the object of each game is to win and therefore achieve success, at all costs is not within our scope. We have been close to the abyss too many times to run the risk of spoiling what we have.
Considering we were averaging as many people while in League 1 as were turning up in 2004-5, the overwhelming impression I get is that it doesn't matter what level we play at and against who, what matters is people actually want to go and support the club.
I don't believe the ground would be any fuller for an unknown Roumanian team in the Thursday League than it would be against Tranmere or Crewe in the FA Cup.
We don't need to be a force to please the people who count. The supporters.
