Villas-Boas is obviously a very good manager.
Torres is obviously a very good player.
He had about 7-8 very good seasons for Atletico Madrid , Liverpool and Spain and was bought with a lot of money from Atletico Madrid by Liverpool.

For around 3 seasons he was considered as one of the best strikers in the world if not the best.

But he had a poor half a season at Liverpool ( Injuries )
Then a poor world cup with Spain ( Injuries )
Again a poor half a season with Liverpool and now a poor 15 games or so with Chelsea.

If anyone is interested, this is his record for his teams.

Atletico Madrid - 82 Goals in 214 appearances.

    Liverpool - 65 Goals in 102 appearances.

Senior Spain team - 27 Goals in 85 appearances.

    -

Obviously the club will need to strengthen the attacking midfield and winger positions to help get the assists but we expect this too happen.

Also - On a positive note, i thought Torres did well on making runs and was in the position to score but a lot of the time the delivery wasn't great.
But he still needs to improve his pace and finish for next season.

    -

    Cut it short...

Do you think Villas-Boas will get the best out of Torres?
How do you think Torres will do next season? Goals, etc...

I personally think he will improve and get better next season and get between 14-20 goals!

I will be disappointed if Torres only gets 14 goals next season!

This is very hard to write for a RED.

IF you can get Torres fit (both physically and mentally) then he will prove to be a very good buy for Chelsea. However, from the outside, it appeared last season that it was not just his form that was holding him back but also the 'cold' attitude of some of your team on the pitch. Before he scored for you I remember Collou blazing wide when a simple pass to Torres would have given him a tap-in!

With your new manager you have the opportunity to sort those relationships out.

As another Liverpool fan I would agree, his problems are mental. He doesn't seem to trust his body anymore and looks short of pace and fitness and doesn't seem to have bonded with the Chelsea players.

I hope he continues with the form of last season though. If Chelsea buy Moutinho and Falcao and get Torres firing I think they will win the league.
