Fulfilling Potential: Part 1 - Versatility a curse? Can Victor Moses reach his full potential at Chelsea or will his versatility hinder his development? http://t.co/KE3hFJHv4T
Actually a very interesting article. I always have a small problem with chucking the word potential around because its such a difficult thing to judge. Some players peak young and fade and some player (Drogba comes to mind) peak in their mid 20s. It's also interesting to consider how far a player is limited by their "potential". Can they surpass it? Either way, I have always thought of Victor as a good player, but never destined to be world class. That said, playing with the players he's with he could easily learn a lot from them and improve massively. He's young and definitely talented. We'll see. Oddly enough I'm not sure how versatile Moses is. We play him on the wings and that's it. Maybe versatility would be more of an issue for Oscar, who has played RM, CDM and CAM.
Moses has the potential to move to a higher level, and will never get a better chance than with Jose holding the reins. Several players will be in the same boat.
I think he will be a good player. He's still a young lad but he takes on defenders all the time and it's great for us to have a player like that in the side. He loves the club and the fans so I think he'll want to stay at Chelsea and the fans want him to stay as well. But I'll remember him for his goal up at Leeds... Great goal and then his knee slide celebration right in front of us away fans was absolute mustard!
I see him as a solid squad player and occassional starter. Can be great on his day but never seems that consistent.
Spot on, but that almost describes Joe Cole pre Jose as well. Jose got him playing at a higher level in a short time and he was absolutely great for 2 seasons. Hope Moses goes down the same path.
