Anything is possible in the crazy world of football.

Whether it's true or not is another matter.

Of course their wage structure is getting ridiculous. At some point they will have to cap it.

Their owners may be billionaires but they cant be happy paying 2-3 times the wages of any other club.

I guess it spells doom for us, if citeh are balking at his wage demands...... We should not even dream of talking to him! It goes to show the psyche of the modern footballer, he has not achieved much, or won much..... Then again, Citeh, along with Madrid and Barca are responsible for the mess we are in! Don't think both Spanish teams will pay silly money for/to someone who has not achieved anything!

Meh, I don't think he'd make the same demands at another club. City at the moment remind me of Chelski when Roman took over. Every transfer had an extra 50% tax on it and every agent demanded an extra 50-100% on the wages for their players. Part of that was because they knew they could afford it and the other part is that if you join a club you want parity with the other players. If I were Eden I'd be annoyed if the likes of Gareth Barry was getting more than me so I'd want the same or more. Added to which he's a top player and will want it reflected alongside the other 'stars'.

If he joined Arsenal I'd imagine he'd want the same as the likes of RVP which is fair enough. I'm not saying I want him or that we'd make a move but I wouldn't say we had no chance. He'd be an almost certain starter with us for one thing. Also, sign Vertonghen for example and we'd have to be an even more attractive option.

More interesting were Wenger's comments on the other chap. Mould of Pires you say...?!
