So Fletch and Larrieu have been given the almighty responsibility of keeping P.A.F.C in the football league.I have no complaints about this, think they are as capable as many others in the game to do so.But the $64,000 question is, can they do it?.Not hopeful about getting much against Morecombe on Saturday and we can't afford to let the points gap widen. What do the rest of you think, can they pull it off?
Only if they get some experienced players in..........a goalscorer or two is essential........plus an attacking mid-fielder.......strong central defender.....at least.
They stand about as much chance as anyone else I suppose. It remains to be seen who they can get to come here and help us out. It is blatantly obvious that we need at least a couple of players brought in and not kids this time. The kids will learn but we don't have all the time in the world to teach them. At least we do have players already here with league experience now at all ages if there are injuries or suspensions and it wouldn't be just throwing in a teenager and hoping. Fletcher has seen what they can do already. I think we need a minimum of 2 players. One at the back and a target man forward. I think we would see a better Feeney with a big partner. The one at the back to marshall the defence and boss it. Cole,if he continues to play is not going to do that and the age of the rest of them just in front of him doesn't lend itself to leadership. Midfield I think we are ok and could manage on what we have. What we really need is a little run of the right results to build the confidence up. Get rid of that little gap between us and 3 or 4 others and they would all start to believe. The longer it exists the more pressure they are put under. Back to back wins at home to get the crowds on there side although they have been lucky so far that this has been there. Now that the sword of damaclese isn't hanging over the club the honeymoon may not last long given how fickle people are. All in all I think they can turn it around but lets say I would not bet my house on it.
robinson is out on loan . jake robinson had a good spell with us last season, until he was swapped with nicky wroe at the gulls. could score a few goals for you
I personally think that neither of them have the experience to save us. Peter Reid with all his experience didn't get the results, and I know some might argue that we've gotten 7 points from 7 games under Fletcher but if that rate continues we will be relegated by christmas. Who knows with a few experienced players in the side we might turn things around but we can't afford to leave it too long or else the gap between us and safety will be too great to breach !
