I am prompted to write this after watching the trailer for 'The Four Year Plan' in which Amit makes reference to the promotion being worth £150m or what ever he said. A few questions: How much of that has gone to Flav and Bernie in their cut and run exercise? Is there a lump sum or is it from TV rights? If the latter, do Bernie and Flav still have a claim to that? If a lump sum, where does that come from? Does it mean the wage bill is actually covered? I will gladly confess to knowing next to nothing about a club's finances but curious after listening to Amit.
Can't claim to be an expert but I think Amit was referring to total income over more than one season. TV/ Premier League final position cash is 50-60m a year depending on where you finish ( so it's worth finishing 16th rather than 17th!). Not sure how this is paid but pretty certain it will be staggered i.e not a lump sum. Plus gates receipts and merchandise sales should go up too. So possibly £150m if you stay up 2 seasons. From what Tony has said in public he bought his stake outright, nothing owed to Goons.
