A bit early but for his signing cost and wages he is delivering at the moment.

Do you think he can match the magic numbers Ronaldo has at Real Madrid.
He has 10 goals in 13 games giving him a goals/matches ratio of 0.76 goals a game.
Ronaldo has 164 goals in 159 games giving him a goals/matches ratio of 1.03 goals a game.

If RVP maintains and is injury free then he'll be more than worth it. Its his golden years now.

No, it's a harder league and he's bound to hit a barren spell sooner or later. He'd do well to keep up .76 ratio I think. Even that though is a massive achievement. Fantastic player.

I don't think anyone has hit that kind of ratio over a full season since Dixie Dean. The smaller teams put up a much better fight over here than they do in La Liga, which is how Ronaldo and Messi tend to beef up their totals.

We have a back 4, what we don't have is an effective midfield and in particular a central midfield. At least one of the two in the middle has to provide some protection for the back four. Cleverley isn't going to do it and Carrick is getting worse at giving the ball away in dangerous positions when under no pressure. The fat lad was our best midfielder when he came on.

I think RVP will probably break the scoring record for united if he stays fit. I thought he would take time to settle and like many top strikers brought from other clubs score after 15-20 matches. Amazing player and inspired buy!

He could certainly hit 35-40 if he stays fit.

Currently at 17 goals from 24 games. This is quality and a nice ratio of a goal every 0.71 games. Fantastic and well worth the money. Long may it continue.

Guess it depends on how you judge signing of the season IMO. Michu has scored 1-2 less goals than him in a weaker team and cost a whole lot less. But if we win trophies and RVP keeps scoring at the rate he has been then he'll be the best signing.

ture, but RVP has been in the premier league for 8 years and knows it inside out, whereas Micvhu has come from La Liga, to be fair, he has to be considered as one of the signings of the season.

How good Michu really is will be discovered next season if he stays in the Premiership. A lot of players have a top first season and then get found out so we'll have to see on Michu. That's why Fergie said he bought Kagawa this summer instead of last summer, he'd played brilliant i his first season but that can often be a players high point and then they dip, Kagawa didn't for Dortmund, we'll have to see if Michus can keep it up too.

I also like that RVP seems to combine well with Hernandez. Their movement is a nightmare for defences. I really believe by the end RVP will finish his stint with us at at least 0.7++ goals per game. Long may he rest injury free.
I agree Dave, I will only buy the Michu hype if he can repeat next season and who's to say bigger clubs here or in Spain won't want him. After all, you do one good season here and everyone wants you.

Remember Mourinho wanted to exchange Higuain for Hernandez, which thankfully never happened.
