Team GB were thrown together and played at the beginning with little cohesion. They improved as the games went on and I wonder whether Pompey could do a similar job. Not that I am suggesting the players will be of the same standard but they will also have been cobbled together with no time to get themselves really sorted. Team GB showed improvement each game until the last one and if Pompey can follow those lines they could still end up with a reasonable side and have a relatively successful season. At FP they will have a vociferous support and this could help them win many games once they have become a settled side. One advantage will be that they should be able to show the passion that wasn't always apparent with Team GB. So do you think that your motley crew can come together and do the business? How about finding a Motley Crew number to walk out to the pitch on before the game?

I hope all goes well this season and that your hastily cobbled together team of cast offs show real fighting spirit and atleast manage to stay in the division. You've all had more than enough to deal with over the last two seasons. Onward and upward.
Last season Pompey played with a them against us attitude and a similar vein of mindset could see you through until your team has blended/gelled.
