Stoke have done fantastically well since being promoted to the Premier League, albeit with a dip in form during the middle third of last season. Although Tony Pulis has now left the club, his record in the top division is extremely impressive.

We have just published part two to our guide to surviving in the Premier League, which examines how Stoke have achieved such success in the top division. Please take a look, share, and let us know what you think. Hit Row Z is a new blog designed to engage fans, so we definitely want to hear from you!

You can read the article here - it's part one in a longer series.

If they have a 100 million to spend? We lost 31 million last year and 6 million the year before!

Absolutely fair point. But the club is interesting as an example of how you can spend and get results for the investment. Plenty of teams have blown huge sums betting on survival, or on getting into Europe or the Champions League, and not done it as successfully as Stoke.

Do you sense the approach of the club will change now Hughes is in place?

Fair - amended! The fact that the club hasn't underlines how impressive the record of the last few years has been though doesn't it?

You could argue that the likes of Swansea and Wigan (who will be playing European football) have been even more effective given the lack of money spent. As Stoke fans we feel that we could have achieved the similar or better results with a different manager and half the budget.
