Norwich have done fantastically well to secure two mid-table finishes since returning to the Premier League, albeit with a dip in form during the middle third of last season. We have just published part two to our guide to surviving in the Premier League, which examines how Norwich have achieved such success in the top division. Please take a look, share, and let us know what you think. Hit Row Z is a new blog designed to engage fans, so we definitely want to hear from you! You can read the article here - it's part two in a longer series. http://hitrowz.com/2013/06/21/premier-league-survival-guide-part-2/ Ben
Hi Ben, As you've not been a member before, your post was caught up by the spam filter as it gets wary of new members posting links. I've just approved it, so now the rest of the forum can see it. As to the piece, it makes a pretty interesting read, although you might want to change the picture at the top, as that's from our promotion in 2004!
Ha fair point! Struggled to find a creative commons pic from the last promotion! Any link you can provide? Thanks for kind words about the article. We're a new site that is just getting going so all feedback, good and bad (!) is very welcome. I definitely think Norwich's success is understated in the national media and amongst pundits though. Gaining promotion and finishing 12th and 11th, while changing managers, retaining your best players, and adding real quality at good value is no mean feat. Crystal Palace, Hull City and Cardiff City take note!
Excellent Article Ben and highlights how so much has been achived wth the core of the team who played in both League 1 and the Championship, rather than follow the QPR example of signing players with 'Premier League Experience', or 'WCT' according to QPR fans!!!
Thanks JRFan - there are more installments in the series coming, so please do check back. Who do you think the club needs to bring in this summer to continue building? Excited about Wolfswinkel?
I'd like to see a Full Back who can cover eeither RB or LB, I feel we;re OK for CBs. Yes RvW is a very exciting prospect and I would like to see a speedy winger who can whip in a good cross and a creative mdfielder who can defend if needed. Would like to see what Butterfield can do if given a run in the team before we spend too much money. I hope we don't go for more than another 2 or 3 players.
I'd like us to sign Redmond, but at the right price - £5M max. Latest rumour is that he's choosing between us and Swans.
We have just published the latest installment of our Survival Guide, this time looking at whether promoted teams can attack their way to Premier League safety. Read it here: http://hitrowz.com/2013/06/28/premier-league-survival-guide-part-3/
