I think I will boldly predict that we will have a player sent off every week , have a penalty awarded against us every other week and lose all our games until Christmas........................with my usual success rate on match predictions , we should then be top of the league by Christmas!
On a serious noteI think we must all be a little bit patient while the squad gels properly. Clearly there are a few issues and we'd all lkike to see some strengthening in most quarters. However, we have to remember and accept that the club has to stay within a certain budget as part of the CVA terms. We are not going to walk this league; every-one we play will raise their game when they play us, so the players simply can't afford to fall asleep after 44 or 89 minutes. Don't take any notice of the league table yet. After 5 games last season Liverpool were 18th in the Premier League, Bournemouth were 15th in League One and Mansfield were 16th in the Conference. I think we will ultimately go up in May, be it in the Playoffs or by finishing in the top three.
Wise words Dev - I think in the 3 games I've seen we have actually played well and looked the better side - yes we do need to concentrate more for the whole match but I've seen more positives than negatives tbh and really with both the keepers I'd say distribution from the floor kicks is the area that needs work....that and our set pieces. We will be ok and lets remember where we were at the start of summer. PUP
It can. But it won't. The defence will gel and get its act together - apart from Danny East who is being played everywhere except his preferred position. The midfield is already showing signs of working well together. Craddock will find his shooting boots - as long as he doesn't get lazy, Bird is still learning (was so tempted to put he'll stop running around like a headless chicken - but refrained). And we'll have good days and bad days with a few indifferent days but where we also get the rub of the green. 2 losses - 2 draws - 1 win + JPT win on pens. We'll be fine!
