Look, I know this Gyan to Spurs thing is gossip, just like the daft Henderson to Liverpool story was, so we should not take any notice of it.

But if we say did a deal of Gyan to Spurs with Crouch, Defoe, Hutton and 20 mil coming our way I would still send my season ticket back and say I can take no more.

I hope it really is crap because even us old time happy clappers have a breaking point.

Not sure we'd sell Gyan for that mate those three plus 35 mil maybe we'd think about it.
The optimism comes flooding back, what was the final price for Jordan seen 13, 16 even 20mil anyone know the truth?

As a spurs fan as much as i would like this to happen in terms of getting rid of our rubbish strikers and replacing with soemone like Gyan i actually feel your fustrations. I had the same feeling a few weeks back when rumours broke of us selling Bale and Modric. I bascially said if we improve Uniteds team again like we have done in the past and lose our key players then that's the last time i ever invest in spurs again. Thankfully we look like we will keep our key players and build on our already excellent side and hopefully push back into the top 4 but i do feel sorry for you though. It can't be great losing your best prospect Henderson and on top of that rumours of your best player Gyan going!!!

truth is, on a serious note, I spend most of my days in a happy positive frame of mind but I do have dark days, brought on from **** all and one was brought on the other night over a daft comment on here, it sent me into a dark place so my posts are in gloomy mode.

Now now sunderland fans, Gyans good but not that good. If anything it will be Keane and Crouch in a straight swap for Gyan!!

I wouldn't take either of those deals to be honest. I think Gyan offers more than any one of Crouch, Defoe or Keane. Crucially for me, he's still getting better, whereas those three are all going to be heading downhill in the next few years. As for the 20m- we don't bloody need it. There has to be a point where we stop selling our best players just for the point of stockpiling money, or else we might as well sell the club and all support the Pools.

The only deal I would possibly consider would be Crouch, Pav, Defoe, Palacios, Hutton, Sandro, Lennon, Bale and Kranjcar. Yes I realise this is a 100% impossibility. I also hope it shows my strength of feeling on the issue.

That sounds like a very realistic deal mate but, surely we should get some cash as well as those lads say 10mil?

You been playing Fifa and thinking it is real again? Crouch on the wane... keane has waned. Defoe and hutton would have to be part of any deal and he will cost more than 30Million I'm afraid.

If Carroll and Torres are worth 35 and 50 million Gyan must be worth in the region of that. Simply because we don't need to sell him. Its not just about talent its also about contract length and a clubs need for money.

We have no need for the money as were currently loaded.

We don't want to see him leave as he is the only fit striker at the club

He is on a long contract

I am sorry but he is in the next league up from Henderson, if Henderson is worth 20 million Gyan is worth 40.

Defoe and Crouch are probably worth 10 and 5 respectively and what another 6 or 7 for Hutton??

Crouch is now 31 vegas we get him it would be a step back in my opinion, Defoe with Gyan then yes no problem there both very similar players though, still not taken with Hutton as a defender great going forward iffy defending though.
As you say we don't need to sell let's hope the bosses at SAFC think the same.
