for many of us it was our first time seeing campbell play for us, and he looks a player - pacey, strong on the ball and linked well with bellamy..... the first goal was an exquisite chip over heaton and the second was a scrappy goal bundled home......

thats 3 in 3 now, remembering of course that he was a sub in the 2 away games and was subbed early today for helguson.

the lad seems to be enjoying his football too, he is one who can make the step up to the PL.

A good home debut for him, His link up play was good and he put in a shift.
Also good to see Tommy Smith getting back to full fitness as well does he ever lose the ball ????

Swampy mate - I'll start by saying that his second goal was not "scrappy" at all - it was a half chance that he buried like a good striker should. <ok>

I thought Fraizer might not come out for the second half - he looked a bit weary when he walked off. When he did come out, the word around me was that he'll be off on the hour, and Malky would put Helga on (groans), but perhaps after the half time breather, he could pinch another goal before then.

Hallelujah!!! - that's just what we've been missing.

With the greatest respect to Helguson who did a solid job in the final 20 minutes, he would never have scored two goals like that. Fraizer has the quick train of thought and a pair of feet to match.

If he can get 100% fit and stay on the park, he'll be quicker again and with the service he'll get from Smithy, Whitts et al, he'll be in double figures well before the end of the season.

As far as the game overall was concerned, I'm not sure whether we were just so good or Bristol City were just bad, but for me, they take the honour off Wolves as the worst team to visit the CCS this season. I'll do them a favour and say we played some class stuff that they just couldn't cope with.

The scoreline is a factual matter that will go down in the records, but it was so misleading - we were light years ahead of them.

Fair dues to Campbell a solid performance supported by two poacher goals but for me Smith was exceptional today. Bristol City were poor and should have been buried out of sight today. They're a **** Bristol Rovers.

They were the worst team i have seen this season as well, they need a season or 2 in league 1 (ok league 2) to get rid of the deadwood. The problem is though when they go down is lansdown still going to pump money into them ???
Roll on monday when i pick up my winnings off the smock wearing carrot crunchers in work <laugh>

No Swamp, he'll be our Frazier Campbell (point taken though)
Solid home debut and like Sparkey says, he'll only get better when fully fit.

We were too good for them but I take equal pleasure in knowing they really are that bad... we even had to score for them <laugh>

Gutted for Baby Ben too but credit to Marshall. Straight over to him at FT. You could see by his body language it was still bothering him. These things happen and he will bounce back <ok>

Great learning point for Baby Ben. And make your mistakes when they don't matter. I also thought that perhaps Marshall didn't shout or his shout wasn't clear enough. Ben will learn from that and apart from the og what a great game he had. 2 experienced centre forwards both in his pocket and Davies had to resort to bully boy tactics second half - which didn't work either.

    Well played Ben. <ok>

Bristol City normally provide us with own goals...not the other way around!

The scoreline flattered us to be fair. However our fate will be decided in games like next Saturday (home to Barnsley) than away to the league leaders.
Campbell is a snip at £650k.
All the best for the rest of the season - I would like to see you in the Prem.
