Well boys and girls, it must be time for some serious thoughts about the weekend and my question is,

Can anyone see MON changing tactics?

He likes his 4-5-1 changing to a 4-3-3 when we attack, he may change personnel but I cant see him changing formation, I know it fell flat last weekend but apart from that has served him well.

I can see Campbell coming in and the big choice could well be at RB, O'Shea/Elmo/Gardner seem the options, I would go Gardner.

I think Wolves proved that if you go for them, they can collapse. I am sure MON would have seen that and will have a game plan.

I that is a 4-4-2 formation or a very attacking 4-3-3 who knows? Only MON does.

Campbell has got to play for me.

    Migg
    Gardner Oshea Turner Ricco
    Larsson Catts Meyler McClean
    Sess
    Campbell

I would rather have Bardo and Westwood in the side but if they are injured there is not much we can do. I have gone for Meyler to give us a bit of height in the middle of the park but I suspect MON will go for Colback.

The good thing about Gardner is even from RB he is an option of free kicks and he can still have a shot from distance from RB.

As Turner, Ricco and Ming, were all absolutely dreadful last week I would hope he changes players.
I don't rate the three of them and last week only compounded that belief.

So Sess to the right wing? What becomes of Seb, moving him inside pretty flat against Arsenal for me. 2 up Sess off campbell for me.

    Bardo a problem. So probably

    Gordon
    Gardner Oshea Turner Bridge
    Larsson Catts Colback McClean
    Sess
    Campbell

The 433......451 sounds about right. I take it the news about Bardo is firm? Anybody else injured from the internationals?

I suppose MoN might not play Frazier or Bendtner but I would prefer it if he did. Although I did notice that Seb, who I thought was knackered scored 2 last night.

See the theory Syd but swap campbell and Sess and that is pretty much the Arsenal league game. I think Larsson looked pretty lost in that game and maybe crowded out by Campbell presence. However, think you are near the mark of what MON will do just wish we would be a little, just a little more adventurous.

I think the most important thing is that we are positive in our approach, if we sit back I feel we will lose, I think we may have to score at least two to win

I agree that MON will start with the adaptable 4-5-1/4-3-3 formation....Although personally I would like to see how their defence would cope with the pace of Campbell...However, it is the result that is the be all and end all, and I sincerely hope that I, along with tens of thousands of fellow red and whites are the ones celebrating on Sunday afternoon/night/Monday morning etc...
