This bizarre table just came up on SSN. The point they were making was that Man United haven't scored enough goals at home. The table shows: TOTAL GOALS AT HOME - BOTTOM 8

Pos. Team PLD GLS Goals/Game

13 Arsenal 15 37 2.47

14 Sunderland 14 34 2.43

15 Manchester Utd 15 36 2.40

16 Stoke 15 36 2.4

17 West Brom 15 35 2.33

18 Hull 16 35 2.19

19 Crystal Palace 15 31 2.07

20 Cardiff 16 27 1.69

We haven't scored 35 goals all season, never mind at home. Sunderland have only scored 24 all season. Also none of those averages, even Cardiff's, look particularly bad to me so there has to be a big mistake there somewhere doesn't there? To make things more confusing, the presenter said something along the lines of United's average goals at home being worse than any of the current bottom 3: Sunderland, Fulham and Cardiff. The table shows Cardiff at the bottom though! Can anyone work out where they've got this data from? I'm pretty sure it's completely wrong but I can't work out what they've done to come up with these figures.
It would appear to list the total number of goals in home games, (For & Against). Apart from Cardiff where it should be 47. How that's relevant to the point they're trying to make I don't know.
Sticking my neck out here. But I'd say it was the total number of goals scored in home games. Both for and against.
As no one else has pointed it out, I believe it is goals scored at home, both for and against! hopefully that clears it up.
Does it include cup games somehow? Either total goals scored including cup or total for and against at home including cup? Can't be arsed to work it out but it looks totally wrong.
Joking aside, it really is the total number of goals in home games both for and against. Someone just dropped a bollock on the Cardiff figures. Should be a total of 47. I trust someone will pay with their job for this.
There's been a few dropped bollocks here. The Cardiff figure is wrong but even ignoring that the table wasn't presented as a total number of goals for and against by the presenter, who clearly thought it was just goals for. It doesn't even support the point she was trying to make, or anything else really.
Just goes to show that most of the graphics showing stats on sky are bollocks. The best is in super league where taking a number of criteria they work out what the score should be then compare that with the actual score!
