Afternoon all. As you may or, more likely, may not know, my daughter is studying Speech and Language Sciences at Sheffield University. She currently needs help with her dissertation research. She has chosen to research the experiences of parents/carers of children with learning difficulties and disabilities. She has a short survey for those over 65 who have been affected, one way or another, by this. I would be happy to email you the survey if you are able to help, or know someone that can. She needs about 10 responses and so far has only 2 so any help would be gratefully appreciated. Please message me if you think you can help. Many thanks
My wife may be able to help. Not from her own experience, but she works in an environment where she comes into daily contact with parents in that category. Will ask her when she gets home tonight, if you like.
I wondered about that too. Sorry H, the age bit means she can't help - as a nursery teacher, all the parents she comes into contact with are somewhat younger.
She did explain that to me but to be honest, i'm not entirely sure! lol...It's just her research boundaries. I think it's been inspired by her grandma, because her uncle has downs syndrome and her grandma, now in her 80s, had him at home always. It is pretty limiting, but that's her dissertation subject...kids eh? lol
In case this changes things for anyone, the age limit has now come down to 55 and Amy would be so grateful for any help that maybe forthcoming She now has an online link too: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScUgTTp7wG67hHI237ezp1PwFY9n9M9eiatEmiYlqG-kZ1JiA/viewform Many thanks xxx
