please log in to view this image BEFORE, no one wants to play at Anfield, either in the league, cup or even Europe. Last season, we lost to Crystal Palace at Anfield, they have not won there for a very long time before then. Every club has nineteen games to paly in the league in a season, if all are not winnable Liverpool should be looking to win at least fourteen home games, draw four and a maximum loss of one game. Comments.
Without an improvement from our CBs: no. Not that I blame them entirely. The best defence is to be offensive. The whole team needs to cuss more. The whole team needs to keep possession more and help out the defence... But our CB pairings are flawed.
We'll have the disruption of the new build, our own fans won't even know what to expect. Fortress Anfield or building site Anfield....
not without a new manager seriously i dont think it will ever be that while brendan is here, as he either doesn't have a clue about defending or doesn't give a ****.
Our record at anfield during the Suarez season was incredible. I think teams need to be scared to come and play and the only way to do that is to win games. We need to get off to a good start, try and get 5 or 6 good wins on the bounce at home and teams start looking. At that home record and thinking this is going to be tricky, once they have that thought were already in the driving seat
It depends, how many cannons do you need to class it as a Fortress? And doesn't it have to be made of stone, otherwise its just a Fort?
Liverpool can be a fortress but i doubt it with the current management and a few of the not up to much players. the better players should not be wanting to leave and be like the players of yester year that they only leave when they pass there sell by date. Big side that has let themselves and their standards drop......
In fairness Tobes is right. 12 wins and 3 losses would be very good But then you must think.... 10 of our 19 games will be against **** teams. Of the remaining 9 there will be 5 against other top 6 teams. To lose only one = some going and to win 14 = beat every single non top 6 team at Anfield as an example
Our record at home, and also against teams in the bottom half of the table (both home and away) was atrocious last year.
I don't think he was saying there was anything wrong with it. The OP questions Anfield, those stats suggest there is nothing wrong.
