  2. Maybe a good idea. He's big, strong can be usefull against Stoke.

    Perhaps -

    Simspon--Williamson--Campbell--Coloccini-Taylor

Was just going to say that with Delap's long throw, though am not convinced about 5 at the back and Steven Taylor at left back.

Good I think, imo will be a bigger presence than Willo.

Simpson Willo Sol Colo Ferguson Would my mine.

Didn't you see how he was defending out wide? To slow in closing down and may get outpaced by one of there tricky and skillful wingers(Etheringhton/Pennat).

Haven't we learned from the scum that trying to beat Stoke at their own game doesn't work? 5 at the back was a spectacular failure for them and they have better defenders than us.

I'd play 5 at the back, but only because we'll probably have 3 fit midfielders, all of which are CMs.

Back 5 of Simpson Saylor Williamson Colo Ferguson

IMO Campbell has proved to us he doesnt have the pace or fitness to cut it in the PL anymore, so as far as I'm concerned he is 4th choice. Williamson and Saylor are good enough in the air while still having a bit of pace about them.

Campbell is past it, simple as that. This has been done to death recently, but I think with injuries etc... our only option is a 5-3-2 with a back 5 of simpson-taylor-williamson-coloccini-ferguson

If you watched the game at St James against Stoke we needed someone with experience and Campbell has that.

Dont fancy Taylor at LB at all after Pennants performance today, can see him giving away a pen.

If you watched the West Brom game you'll see tat Campbell's experience counts for nothing now because he isnt fit and has no pace.

Their defenders are better than Colo and Enrique? What about Simpson?

I'ld keep our standard back 4, however i take it from what everyone else is saying enrique won't be fit.
I'd trust Ferguson at left back, he seems competant enough

Something just doesn't seem right about that short skinny Ferguson being a full back against Stoke. I highly doubt that he'll be able to barge and muscle players off the ball, so he'll have to try a different tactic.

I think it could be a good idea, his big presence and experience could be useful with an aerial bombardment from corners, free-kicks and throw-ins
