If Google were to offer me an engineering job in California for double the money I am on now to start tomorrow I would still need to sit down and think about it long and hard.

I don't know if Campbell has kids or not, but football transfers are done very quickly nowadays and players often rush towards signings for teams so they guarantee playing time. I want players to think long and hard about whether they want to play for us, and I'll feel a lot better if he takes a week and decides that we're the team to match his ambition.

Don't jump the gun Wiz, DJ could be an excellent signing for us and I think he's exactly what we need! If he needs a little time to appreciate us, then let him have it!

I'm with Wiz here. If he wanted to play for BCFC he would be able to sort the other things out given time.
If he doesn't want to play for BCFC, he can do one IMO.
Surely transfers are part and parcel of his trade and he's moved around enough to understand that.
I wonder if we haven't stumbled on another 'I would prefer to stay in London' person?

the guys 30 years of age, probally going to be his last decent pay day, makes sense for him to
    weigh up the options.

He might want to think about his family, to be fair they've moved from Leicester to Blackpool to London in the space of 3 years, he might want to hear there say on a move to bristol before he signs

If he was offered a 2 year contract on £6k a week that would be a basic pay of £624k,not bad aye,oh sorry he's got to look at the...

    * I'm looking at all the possibilities before I decide what's best for me."

    * "My focus has been on getting fit and making sure I'm ready to play this season."

    * Has insisted he will not be rushed into a transfer as he explores all the possibilities.

    * Believed to be a number of other clubs interested in the former Blackpool man and he says he is still weighing up his options.

look at our recent history with QPR,that big lump Patrick Ageymang and Damion Stewart who we are still paying wages,no wonder we are only an option...

Wiz, I love your passion and commitment to BCFC but the club is not paying for your retirement and family commitments. The guy is being asked to uproot again and move to a lower division club for less money. Of course he needs time to think about it. Ultimately, unless a player is born and bred in Bristol or the surrounding locale, they will never have the passion and commitment to the club that we, the fans, have.

The club is their employer. That relationship can and will be severed at some point in time.

The club is our passion. That relationship can never be severed unless we choose it to be.

They are very different reasons to be associated with BCFC. I trust in Del and Steve Lansdown to keep the club moving forward so I may long continue my relationship with it. I know you feel the same way.
