Interesting comment that City might consider including him in their squad for Sat. Surely SB not wanting to have another look at him?
I still don't want him. Although I think Nigel will see him as a semi-in form right footed winger, which we lack. We'll see but apparently he's off to TWS.
Good player, just needs a regular kick up the arse. Did well for blockhead, if he went back there I'm sure he would again. Wish him luck, shame it never came off here, he had bags of potential.
very disappointed he never realised his potential with us.. watch him get Leeds in the play-offs and a case of "here's what you could have won.."
Steve is great at man management. watch him turn around and say to CS you've got a month to prove your a premier league player not a Fizzy-pop larker....
We have 2 wingers currently, about to sign a 3rd. Could do with 4 but all the ones we've got/are going to get are left footed. Could do with a right footed one but as we're linked with Cameron Stewart every transfer window i'd take this rumour with a pinch of salt.
There's ways you can split it, but his appearances confirm it was a long term loan. Loan deadline day was 28th November, and he played on 1st January. That's 34 days later, so he's used 35 days of the 93 there. (58 days left) He played on 26th November and 27th October. That's 30 days earlier, which is another 31 days of the loan. (27 days left) He played on 19th October and 17th September. That's 32 days apart, which means 33 days have been used there. (-6 days left)
How much did he play for us? I can't remember, but if he was a late sub and made no impact, I imagine an appeal would be granted.
He started the game and played 55 minutes against Orient in the League Cup. When Cousin tried to join Fulham he'd only played two games for Lens at the start of the season before joining Rangers, and their appeal was rejected. The problem is it took until March for it to be resolved by FIFA, and during that time he couldn't play for anybody. So if we wanted to appeal and it took the same time we'd still be better off just keeping hold of him until February and then "selling" him on an emergency loan in the same way we got Boyd last season. Either way, it ****s over the value of the transfer by taking out January and at least part of February. When you're only paying to sign him for 4 or 5 months in total, losing 1 or 2 of those months has to reduce the value, especially when the 5th month is likely to only have 3 or 4 games in it at most, and potentially less if you get automatic rather than the playoffs. Charlton are our only option for a decent fee, if we **** them over to do a deal with Leeds that then gets dragged out and ultimately rejected by FIFA for something we (and Leeds) should have known about I'm really not going to be impressed.
Philip Buckingham ‏@PJBuckingham 1h Cameron Stewart was due to play but Leeds, ahem, asked for him not to be cup-tied. Steve Bruce believes the deal is very close now. bit irrelevant now........
