A major donor to the Conservative Party proposed the dilution of workplace rights in a report which won the backing of David Cameron but was blocked by the Liberal Democrats. Adrian Beecroft, a venture capitalist who has given £593,000 to the Conservatives since Mr Cameron became leader in 2005, recommended companies be allowed to sack unproductive workers at will. The businessman, whose interests include payday loans company Wonga.com, argued that "coasting" workers inhibit economic growth and deter employers from recruiting. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...icy-to-destroy-rights-of-workers-7593585.html So you fork out £500,000 to the Tory party, pop round to Number 10 for a cucumber sandwich with the Prime Minister and at the end of it he "employs" you to write a report into employment rights. All this from some scumbag who makes his millions through the misery of others by offering loans at an average APR of over 4000%!!! If there was money in bones Cameron would be digging up corpses, greedy b*stard.
**** the Lib Dems. They shafted their electorate by jumping into bed with the Tories for a whiff of power. Hypocritical bastards.
**** Cameron He's all about keeping the established rich people in power while stopping anyone trying to make a success of themselves. That's not capitalism/the free market. As for the Lib Dems they had already betrayed their supporters by breaking their promise to support a referendum on the EU constitution, so why anyone is surprised at them further going back on their word I don't know
Very true but credit where it's due, they opposed the dilution of workplace rights. I still wouldn't vote for them though. Neither would I ever vote Tories or Labour.
It could be worse. He could play badminton with Seb Coe... ...and be really **** at it.
