I've been looking through this forum since yesterday's draw with QPR and some people are acting like it's the end of the world. The way people are going on you would have thought that we are a top four side (I know we're top four at the moment but you know what I mean) and expect to win every match. I know we didn't play well yesterday but we got a draw and you can't expect us to play well every match. We've had 1 'bad' result out of 4 matches, which is brilliant considering we haven't lost. Added to that we have Ben Arfa back soon which can only be good.

I know what you mean. Doom and gloom mongers. A draw is a good result in my eyes. Played **** and still got a point. We would
of lost that in the relegation season. 4th in league after 4 games. Says it all.

Actually I've seen far more threads and posts telling people to calm down and cheer up. Where/who are these mysterious doom mongers?

My only problem would be playing like that at say Old Trafford or whatever City's ground is called these days.

Still, the football wasn't fantastic, far from it, but a point is a point and that's all that matters in the end. You don't get any extra points for being entertaining.

Agreed. People have to remember our aims for this season. I would be happy with a top ten finish and a good run in the cups. Yes we did play rubbish but we aren't a top 6 side. We haven't got that consistency to be a top 6 side. That is why we are building from the back to give us a solid base and grind out draws when we are playing ****e, like yesterday night.

We're the only fans in the nation who panic over being fourth. Usually, twitter and facebook are the places I leave due to the moronic behaviour towards a poor game. But literally all of them where happy with the draw at my end. And amazingly happy to be fourth. This place however, it's just been a ****ing circus. There are so many new members, all posting terrible things, the place is going downhill..not massively. But seriously, I thought the Sunderland board was bad..just look at this place..

no it wasn't a disaster but it was certainly worrying really highlighted some of pardew's weakness in the strategy department although he did sort it out when he realized a 4 5 1 is the way forward without ameobi!

We stopped what has been a nasty habit of losing to the newly promoted team. Remember Blackpool, Hull, Derby, Sheffield Utd etc

he's gonna have to get used to it tho, I think most teams will try and go in hard on him.

I thinks it is how they tackle him. If it is a hard tackle with no studs showing he will be ok but if it's a dirty tackle then we will all have to hold our breath.

He's going to have to get used to players going over the top of the ball studs up and breaking his leg or damaging his ankle like the last 2? Sorry but that's not a question of getting used to it, that's just needless stupidity from the 2 players that made the reckless tackles on him and Ben Arfa extremely unlucky to have to be on the end of them.
