Xpert11, for those not in the know, is an online footy management sim, and a lot of fun. You take complete control over a made-up football team, in a made-up strip, with made-up players playing in a made-up stadium. Everything is customisable, from the name of the team to the training regime. It is not a labour intensive game, you can spend as little as 5 minutes a couple of times a week. However, some managers can spend a good hour poring over stats. We are about to complete season 12 with 10 teams in one division,if we get quite a few new members we will create a second division giving everyone a fighting chance of success. As we have almost finished the season it is time to push for some new managers. There are currently several teams available where the manager has been sacked or quit, as well as the option to create a brand new team. It is a highly competitive league, but with skill, nous and little bit of luck, any team can win the title. Welcome.Hope you enjoy the challenge. If you have lots of time the rules page is full of fantastic advice that will give you the edge as most (as in life) won't bother with the rules. I've played for 4 years and still often refer to them.Good Luck.
Have tbh it is very poor this, coming from a background of playing football manager simluation and especially Football Manager live, it is not a patch on the later one that i mentioned. FMLive will take some beating following its closure and their are far better alternatives than this, and one of them is playing FM itself. If i am allowed to link i will link you to a few ideas and see what you think
Oh stop being a meanie City 1904 he's just inviting people that might want to give it a try no need to say that it's very poor for goodness sakes. I have never done anything like FM before but I just might give it a try now. I'll probably end up rock bottom of the league but hey ho not the end of the world
What! FMLive closed? I played that all the time about a year ago. It went downhill but I didn't realise it had totally gone.
Soccermanager is good online......... i like FM but my games always break after about 5 months i get error codes coming up and it wont run! :/ Fifa 11 on PS3 manager mode is alright thought!
I've played many management games and I understand that there are better sims out there but not many that are so easy to play,this is also a matter of opinion. On Xpert 11 the time needed to play is minimal and as it says on the home page it is easy to play but hard to master. Secondly this league, although there are others available and most players use them, is exclusively for Hull City Fans. It is very popular with over 250,000 players so it can't be all that bad. We have enough new teams to create a new division so all teams will be starting on an even keel.There are still places available if you haven't joined yet!!!!
I to have played FM and yes it is good to very time consuming and ultimately too addictive. I know blokes who have split up with there pArtners as the missus has got too pissed off them been on it all the time. That is why I'm willing to give this a try if it only takes a few minutes to set up.
It's only to time consuming if you let it. You can play 10 minutes a day if you wanted to. I've had the same file since it came out last November, I'm only my 5th season. I know some people who can get through a season in a day, I don't know how they can be arsed.
@Febbos I play managerzone aswell. Originally joined in March 2003 but left a few years ago. Returned for a second stab at it in December 2010. If anyone is looking for a simple online management game then join managerzone. English users are on the decline at the moment. Think there are only 3000 active users. How many are there in Sweden?
