Right peeps I wanna know whats people opinion are on:- The CL? will we wont we? The PL? Will Utd be beaten this season? And finally Whos got the Sticky icky and where can i get some?
Afternoon Regarding the CL, hard to see us getting past Barca. I think the games will be a lot closer than last year, but barcelona are just too good a team. Nasri is obviously a huge loss for these games aswel. Though I'lll add, as long as I can't fault the team for the effort they put in those 2 games, losing to Barca is acceptable imo. I do fancy us in the league this year. United still have to play a strengthened and dangerous Chelsea twice, us at the grove, Liverpool away and Citeh at home. Whereas I believe Liverpool at home and sp*rs away are the 2 'big' games left for us. Also if we do indeed get knocked out by Barca, at least we can fully focus on the league, whereas United could have at least another 2 games against probable quality opposition if they get past Marseille, which can only be a benefit to us in a title push. I'm certain United will lose at least once in the league. I'm looking at Chelsea away, Arsenal at the grove and possibly Liverpool as 3 games where I think there is a good chance of them losing at least once. Though doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out If you live in London, I can pm you some numbers, as mary jane was my first love
Afternoon, The CL I reckon if we dont beat Barca then it's there's for the taking. Us for the PL United will have lost 5 games by the end of the season. Us, Chelsea twice, City and a lower club. Mmmmm, sticky. Critical Mass. Been smoking all week whilst the missus is away in Bristol visiting family. Got a heavy weekend ahead of me with some fifa involved along the way.
NorthBankGooner719802 - Id agree on the barca front but i do think that we can get a result at home then hopefully nasri will be back for the second and if thats the case i really do think we can do it! As for the PL im hoping that Utd do lose this term that way they cant take our title of invincibles..... but on the other hand they arent playing great anyway and havent lost so when will it actually happen.... Now i know they have chelsea us and the pool but but i can see them parking a bus for all of those occasions just to claim the invincible title.... As for my geographical location im near watford but am willing to go anywhere if the grass is green on the other side...... Also do you play COD? have you tried the Zombies while baked? it seems to put me in the right frame of mind to get to really high levels as im not so keen to go on a massive points collecting run... Barcelona will knock you out of the Champions League because you play open attacking football which suits them perfectly. We will probably lose a league game eventually but I'm not too bothered so long as we win the league.
Berbnanidez although i can see your logic in what your saying i do honestly believe that we stand a good chance. Remember last time we held them at home before going out at the Nou Camp. With the confidence our team has now i really do think we can do it and i do agree with your comment about open attacking football but we have matured alot since our last encounter. In all i can see it being a couple of great games with 2 sides that like quick passing and attacking football.... Stick theo on and get him running is what i say as it doesnt matter how good your defender is if he gets past you your ****ed provided he finishes well.
Last time we had Silvestre and tommy V still settlin it an playin with an unknown partner and half the team out Arshavin (when he was good) out, song out and whoever else
I'm not a Gooner but I am an honorary fan this season I had a nice bet each way at 8/1 just after the World Cup. I still reckon you have a great chance. Hopefully Chelsea will do you a favour and beat ManYoo twice, then you will turn them over too. I strongly fancy you to win the EPL. No chance for the UEFA CL I'm afraid. No bad thing coz the EPL is much more important IMHO. Should win the CArling Milk Tray Cup FA Cup who cares?
