Afternoon guys I'm going to ask the club if they'll release an online or PDF version of the program for those of us who can't get to games, and I wanted to try to find out both how many people would be interested, and also how much people would be willing to pay before I contact the club. Ian Taylor's told me who I need to email to see if it's possible, but I wanted to a bit of market research first. As I can't change the poll options, if you'd be prepared to pay £1 or £2, can you leave a comment please?
I'd pay a couple of quid but once you've been emailed the pdf whats to stop you forwarding on to others free?
I asked about this, possibly on your behalf (?), at the Comms and Media meeting I attended last November. From Clive's minutes for the meeting: PM said the club has looked into interactive online versions of the programme, and potentially later on this season it will be trialed and feedback sought. With regard to a PDF version, that has been looked at and a trial have taken place at other clubs but the return was low and it's not deemed viable at the moment. There is a financial implication of one PDF copy being downloaded and passed around many different supporters. If there is a suitable demand for it then the club will look into it. Unusually Ian Taylor was not at this meeting, Paul Morrissey (PM above) and Adam Hulme were representing the club.
The PDF from the original artwork would be a breeze to do They insert the insider into a page turning module again 5 minutes work so why not? Only QPR could make this difficult
Cheers Roller, yes, I think I asked you to ask! Honestly, I'd forgotten the answer, but if they said it was something they'd look at, then maybe this nudge will work. I understand their concern about forwarding the program on to others, but if it's priced low enough that may not be as much of an issue. Also, I think some documents now use technology whereby if you re-email the doc, the recipient receives scrambled gibberish, although I may be wrong. Thanks for stickying for me.
I would be interested in this, at the lower price level as it's all I can afford, as well as being tight fisted
I used to get the programs through the post many (many) years ago. No need in the modern era. We are awash with information now,
A nominal value would be in order. £1-3. The club can create a temporary view file through a link that you can view on screen but not save and therefore get round the PDF file being circulated free if charge. A bit like listening to music online on a pay per listen basis but not actually having the ability to print, save or copy the file.
Houston, Is it possible to add a £1 or £1 - £2 selection to the voting criteria as for polling purposes I am interested, but not at those pricing levels offered.
A pay per view version for access for a set period (7-14 days) to the program on the website followed by an e-mailed copy afterwards would make sense - protects the revenues but gives virtual ownership to individuals in the end. They could even link it into the database so that it's only available for overseas Rs. There would probably be ways round that but with a delay in being given a pdf copy, that would be almost nullified. Just a thought...
I like collecting "physical" programmes of the matches I have seen and have been doing this going back to the 70's. I am not sure if I would be interested in PDF version of a match program of that that I have not actually attended.
this I'd pay a couple of quid but once you've been emailed the pdf whats to stop you forwarding on to others free? nothing at all wubba if this starts up I will send you my e mail address

Sorry Kilburn, I can't change the poll options. If you'd be prepared to pay £1 or £2, can you leave a comment please?
The match day programs were stg£3 last season and if memory serves me right the same price in the prem.....A nominal stg£1 to view wouldn't be a bad price ....a bit like subscribing to a newspapers web site.....
Call me old fashioned if you like, but I like a hard copy! An electronic version just wouldn't be the same in my opinion.
