Danny Blanchflower's book was a tongue in cheek effort if you can find it.
My favourite story was that both Arsenal and Spurs wanted him but Arsenal wouldn't pay the extra couple of thousand Villa wanted so he went to Spurs.
The first thing he noticed at Spurs was that every player had a football to practice with.Apparently this wasn't allowed at Villa.
When Arthur Rowe turned up at the Villa chairman's house to discuss the transfer,he was sent to the kitchen while Mr Whittaker was allowed into the dining room!

Other good reading,if you can find them....and I've got them all!...are a succession of Spurs books by Ralph L Finn.
I have a few autobiographies going back before the war which Arsenal fans would probably kill for!!!!!

When I was a late teen ager and in my twenties, some bought cars or got married.I bought football books, mags and programmes.
My wife says they'll see the bonfire for miles when I go.........!
